:p Have ya heard the so called latest acording to Fox News the
Indiana Toll Roads are now owned by Australia and Spain we no longer own them I guess in retrospective that is why they had to raise the tolls. Hey is that another type of bailout for our so called friends abroad. I thought that was pretty interesting. Not smart mind you. But interesting so when the guy takes your money at the toll booth can we write that off as a donation?

yeppers. old like 07 news if i member right. certainly has not improved the road at all. i really do suggest using izoom or ipass(illinois version available at all plazas) . it is faster and less expensive.

warning warning warning......when it refills automatically it takes three days, yes three days to go across the toll systems that accept it. who accepts it? everywhere BUT kansas, okla and ohio.

Yeah, the sold it to that consortium a couple of years ago. First thing they did was block the crossovers. The police were thrilled.

"who accepts it? everywhere BUT kansas, okla and ohio."
And Florida and California.

how do i find out what white glove meens

You ask. Actually, as long as you have been with FDCC for 6 months and have a good pickup and delivery record, you call up your CC. They in turn will ask you if you have a pallet jack, 24 packing blankets, liftgate, two wheel or four wheel dolly, and multiply straps, you should be in. That is if they are signing on addititional trucks. The way they are treating their own, being White Glove dosen't really help. I was White Glove for a long, long time, and near my end, it really didn't matter. I refused lots of .48, .55, 65 cent runs. So, as I said, being White glove wasn't that profitably. But, sometime if you get some government loads, that pay half way decent, then it's worth it. If you get your DOD clearance, that also helps

Hey Jcoulson, I think that 6 months thing is all through there. It has been a heated discussion in the recent WG thread, a lot of people don't get on the application list even though their stats are great while others who just learned what a truck is get right in. A bit of inequity....

The toll road was not sold, it was leased to the company for 75 years. I personally think it was a very smart move by our governor it placed a huge amount of money into the Indiana coffers and is funding a large amount of road building without breaking the state.

Smart move? That money is probably gone by now, and if not yet, will be gone in a few years and then no more revenue for the rest of the 70 yeas or so. But yes, it was a very good move for the governor, lots of money in his pocket

Actually the money is not gone, the principle is in the bank and invested and is bringing in several hundred thousand a day in interest. The interest is what is being spent, our current governor will not let them touch the principle. Of course many dems in the state house want to spend it but until they are in charge again it seems to be safe. That is what happens when you elect a businessman rather than a politician to run your state. This is the last term our current Gov. is allowed so we will see what happens next election.
