I just wanted to make a personal comment on the passing of Ed Housworth.

I am personally grateful to Ed Housworth and the fleet he grew over the last several years.

When EO launched in the "Dot Com Explosion" it was tough to find any company that would be willing to sponsor a start up dot com. Ed Housworth was EO's very first advertiser - and he encouraged others "to give us a shot". His kind, positive words about EO made all the difference in the world.

He was always positive and had an impeccable reputation for treating his fleet drivers with respect.

Over the years I personally referred hundreds of new drivers who wanted to get into expediting to try it the "Housworth Way".

He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ruby and their family.

I actually spoke to him over a year ago...when I 1st started looking at this business.
I found out about him when I met a couple at a truckstop here in Phila. who were on his leasing plan.....

He obviously was a good man....

When my wife and I received the call last week from Louise, Ed and Ruby's Office Mgr/Bookkeeper we both thought - thank God we had a chance to meet Ed before he passed.

We've been leasing from Ed and Ruby since mid November and the experience has been fantastic. Ed and Ruby invited us into their home, fed us, shared their experiences with us, assigned us an FL70 that we've been going whole guns with since. They were and are so generous we almost wondered what the catch was.

If our truck breaks down you simply call them, it's fixed. Need an answer, you just call, they support us 24/7. They are simply amazing, gracious, outstanding folks. And Ed's vision permeates the whole organization.

We are indeed glad that we met and had a chance to work with this country gentleman, and our prayers go out to Ruby and Grandma and the family. We love you all.

My wife and I met Ed a couple of years ago when i took my step son and a friend of his down there to work. Several times since then I have thought about contacting him to lease a vehicle. He made a very good impression on me and I am happy I had a chance to meet him and talk with him for quite some time. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
