Im running for president its offical!!

Ok so heres the deal,Im running for president and I need all of your help to get my name out there.

1 Im a common man.did not go to some fancy school.Do not have any ties to wall street, banks,GE,Halliburton or any of the big three.I have no ties to unions or any special intrest groups. Most of all I have no ties to any form of lobbyist.I know what its like to lie in bed awake at night worrying about putting food on the table or paying bills.I know what its like to live week to week.I know what it feels like to have five bucks in my pocket and have to make that choice of milk for the kids or gas for the car.

2 I will bring all of our troops home.not over the course of two, three or four years but in my first year.I Belive that freedom is not free.I know though that america has lost enough fighting for the freedoms of many that dont even like us.We use our troops here at home where they can be near their loved ones.We use them here at home to protect our country from within.Anyone who has ever served or who serves in the future shall recive the same healthcare that the members of congress recive.and like congress it will be for life and free.

3 No more forign aid for the countrys that dont like us and the ones that we know do not have the same intrest as we do!They may not like it but they will get over it.Its time to start looking out for america befor we look out for other countrys first.

4 I really dont care what two men or two woman do.I really dont care if the person that gave my son or daughter their blood when he/she was wounded in combat, loves a man or a woman.I really dont care if the police officer or fireman that pulls someone out of a burning car or house loves a man or woman.

5 taxes and jobs.I propose a stimulus package for the people.Every american shall recive 2 million dollars in stimulus money. How ever there are some strings attached.
your personal net worth can not be over 2 million.Befor you go buying that knew big screen or that new car you must pay all of your bills. If you own a house and you owe you must pay it off not just catch up the payments.then you can start spending.there are other things that you will have to do like if you are working now you can not quit your job.No one doing more then 1 year in jail will recive any money.

you see by giving the stimulus money to the people and not big companys or banks people will start spending money again.this creates more taxes at every level. When people start buying then companys will have to make more of the products there for creating jobs and taxes for the goverment. When people pay off their homes and there are less homes on your street that are being forclosed on then your homes value will go back up.your home value goes up your tax bill for the year goes up.this allows citys and towns to hire back all the police, fire and other city workers back. This will give the city the money to fix the roads and sewers that are 50 to 100 years old.and you will beable to pay your own taxes from the 2 million in stimulus that you recive.Even though you recive this money if you are not working then you will have to look for work.

with all the tax money working its way up to the federal goverment then we use that money to start paying off our debt we do away with welfare all together.after all if you have two million then you dont need some one else paying your bills.the only program I will keep is social securit. However I will use executive order to ban any type of borrowing any money from the social security fund. This is one of the ways that the program has gone broke.the money in the fund belongs to the tax payers and it is not the goverments personal bank.
under my white house there will be a budget passed every year before oct!In this budget there will be no spending if it is more then the goverment took in the year before!!We have already passed on to much of our burden to our children and grandchildren.

6there will be no coprate welfare. If you own a company and you want to invent something that will make youre company millions or even billions of dollars then you can use your own money for the research not tax payers money.I will not raise taxes however I will close tax lopholes that both partys have allowed to be created.Under my white house there will be no GE's that make billions and then pay zero in taxes. If a company from another country wants to sell their products here in america then they will pay a tax of 25 to 50% on those sales. If a company chosses to set up shop in america and they have more workers overseas then they do here then they pay a 60% tax on all money made froms sales in america. If americans are good enough to take money from, then americans are good enough to hire. Its time to start keeping americas money in america!!

7 Term limits I will push this to a vote every year im in office.I then will publish every month the names of the members of congress that vote no on it.This way you the voters know who is not really looking out for you.I will also push for money limits on wages paid to members of congress. There are to many muliti millionaires in congress.I belive when you are saying you are standing for the people that having 5 10 15 20 million in the bank takes you out of touch with the people.

8 I belive that if you want to come to this country then there is a prosses.I also belive that if this country is good enough to want to come and live in and make a better life in, then you should follow that process and respect our laws.

I am a common man.I know what its like to get up befor the sun comes up and not get home from work till the sun goes down.I am a common man I dont wear thousand dollar siutes I wear jeans and most of the time t-shirts.I am a common man I dont drive a 60,000 car.I drive a 14 year old chevy.I am a common man I know how it feels as though I have failed my children on christmas morning when there is just a couple of gifts under the tree for them.I am a common man that just wants to see this great country that I grew up in back on top.I am just a man that belives that this country can be the greatest country in the world again.

My name is Tbubster and I aprove this message:)

Out of that list, you can do this ...

Bring the troops home.

Once they get here, you can now reduce the military with congressional approval because you can't deploy them in the general population nor can you do much with them without making some changes to the areas we need them in, like that open Canadian border where all the Canadians are trying to escape into the US. ;)

As I just posted in another thread, WE made the office president into a throne of sorts with a false sense of purpose. The founding fathers didn't intend to have a president being as important as we made the office out as. In reality he, the president doesn't have the power that many think he has and it is not a good thing to think that way to begin with.

By law, he can't make laws, he can't pass a budget, he can't raise or lower taxes and he can't do much of anything that affect the country. He sets policy which even then the congress has the right to oversee those he set policy for. I think that he can't even make a cabinet position or department without their approval.

So what can he do?

Wow. Maybe I should run after hearing that.
1. I would push for a balanced budget amendment.
2. Repeal and or stop the funding of Obamacare.
3. Authorize the continued operation of Guantanamo in order to provide secure protection of terrorist and insure our borders are secure.
4. Add additional border agents and technology to protect our borders. The funding for this would come from a cut in the size of the federal workforce.
5. A restructuring of our business tax code which should become more business friendly in order to allow firms to have access to funds to expand and hire. This should also include the elimination of certain environmental restrictions which hinder business.
.......only a few thoughts for now.
A good candidate doesn't talk about all the issues at once anyways.

your foreign business proposals suck...
No, I would not vote for you....

I don't think that was directed at me.
Afterall, solving our foreign business issues does not call for more restrictions against other countrues.
What we need is more dialogue.
We need to lift some restrictions on imports in exchange from these countries doing the same on our products.
But more critical is we need to find an alternative for American based companies to produce and manufacture their products here and make that alternative more profitable for them.

And that's my point. We aren't what we use to be because we have become so restrictive in our foreign business practices and against our own USA based companies.
Its time we return to the days of being a diplomatic power instead of being a diplomatic laughing stock.
There is a difference of being a military power and a diplomatic economics power.....we need to find that path again.

Our businesses ran better when it was all about the money...making money...and then we go around sticking our noses in everyones little squabbles and the diplomatic side has killed us...

Get rid of diplomacy and focus on the money...

Well first here is what get me a bit tired of hearing from republicans/conservatives - Repeal and or stop the funding of Obamacare.

WHEN are they going to do that?

In 2014?

Wasn't that what most of the campaigned on in 2010?

With that said, if you want to know about how to fix economy, aka business world, just introduce the Fairtax into the system and see what it does and doesn't do. It doesn't have to be the Fairtax but something that is a big shift from income to consumption. The Fairtax seems to be a good place to start, it removes those barriers from our tax code and allows people and companies not to make decisions based on our progressive punitive tax system.

At this time we have people crying about some guy who caught a ball at a baseball game, returned the ball to the kids game player (which was stupid to do) and now has to pay taxes on the "rewards" that he gets from the team, which is actually the right thing for the IRS to do ... ask for the taxes. BUT those like Hannitty and others are actually saying how unfair that is but Hannitty and those others are not talking about moving to a consumption tax but wants the IRS to back off. The star kid's game player seems to be silent and he can help out by offering to pay the taxes or come up with other arrangements.

Now it may sound like I am complaining about the guy or the taxes he has to pay but I am complaining about some of the conservative entertainers who jumped on the IRS or make a big deal about some stupid thing while not wanting to make the Fairtax or any real tax change their cause.

Without some diplomacy there is no money.
That is part of our problem.
Reach an agreement without doing harm to our domestic economy and build from that agreement.
Our problem now is bending over and meeting. the demands only of others.

The problem with the fair tax system is it simply isn't sensible the way liberals cry out that it is.
It still restricts business and individuals with money to expand their business and hire people.
We need to expand the tax base with an expanded workforce, not place a higher tax obligation on individuals or business.
However, we also need to see the actual enforcement of our tax collection laws.

The problem with the fair tax system is it simply isn't sensible the way liberals cry out that it is.

That I get, they will scream about it but remember that this is about changing the tax source, not adding to it. I think the biggest group of people who will complain and cry the most will be the tax preparers and those who depend on the tax system as it sits to make money.

It still restricts business and individuals with money to expand their business and hire people.

How?

I don't see it because this is a shift from profit/labor to consumption. Which means that a business will no longer worry about how to depreciate a piece of equipment to gain the most out of the taxes of their profits or have to worry about how much that employee will cost them in FICA and other matching contributions.

We need to expand the tax base with an expanded workforce, not place a higher tax obligation on individuals or business.

Yep we do not need to add to the taxes and the way to do that is to change with the times. We are no longer a labor intense society where labor was used for almost everything but we are now a consumption society, with a reduction in labor needs.

One example I used in the past is my own little CNC machine. I can make nice cool circuit boards at the cost of the material, which is cheaper than China can make them. I've got the system configured to make precision cuts so I can use surface mount devices and IF I didn't have the flood, I would have been up and running to make my little gadgets and make money. I am doing the work of five individuals to make that circuit board and with a little more cheaply available equipment, I can replace what used to take an entire shop of people to make something to sell. Technology allowed me to enter the market that was only reserved for those who had specialized training or vocation. The same machine if I want can be configured to make molds and dies too.

The point is that we have advanced enough to return to what we used to have - cottage industries. With that, we don't need the massive amounts of labor to do the work and this is something that many who scream about manufacturing jobs seem to purposely miss - our manufacturing output has increased while our labor needs are reduced and will continue to do so.

However, we also need to see the actual enforcement of our tax collection laws.

Nope I don't agree with that at all. We don't need to enforce punitive laws but change with the changing times. The tax system and our business regulations are the worst they have been in 50 years but enforcing laws that hold us back, we need to take a serious look at that and take the same chances that we did in 1913 when this system was enacted.

Oh and I have to add something.

We don't have a revenue problem in this country, we have a spending problem. Our tax revenue has never been the issue while at the same time the tax revenue source has been a problem for almost 40 years. Changing the source will without any doubt move the economy forward by leaps.

Changing the tax source is just another way of saying tax the businesses making money and tax those making more than me.
That will in turn limit the growth of the actual tax base which is what we need to expand.
Just because your business and others can reduce their workforce and remain profitable does not assist in the overall stability of the nations economy.
Without an expandable tax base, more people at work, we will continue to see an increase in entitlement programs dumped on the American working class.
Yes, we have a spending problem in this country and both parties are at fault.
But we need to stop the blame game, roll up our sleeves and cut into the pork.
Reduce entitlement expenditures, reduce our federal workforce from the top down.....just to name a few.

It's getting awful crowded though.

Palin has dropped the ball for any real threat to win.
She has waited to long but can still play a role.
I believe Bachmann can be a driving force if she stays focused on the issues.
Those issues are a balanced budget, a reduction in government spending, a serious realignment of our entitlement programs without stripping our social security and veterans programs and the expansion of our tax base through private business development and job creation without the ludicrous governmental handouts.

Changing the tax source is just another way of saying tax the businesses making money and tax those making more than me.

OK explain that one to me, because if we go to a consumption tax, I am paying when I buy something not when I work or do something else that produces an income - like investments. Under the Fairtax, I pay nothing for things for my business, which means I pay nothing on tires, fuel, parts, repairs because that is used to make money.

So I don't see how it would even be a burden on any business - because there will be no more taxes applied to them.

That will in turn limit the growth of the actual tax base which is what we need to expand.

BUT how?

SO there is no taxes on income, no more running to the tax preparer and paying them $350 to do the tax return so you get to keep all the money that you make which means that $14.74 an hours is actually $14.74 an hour you keep. This in turn allows you to spend that money, more money than you would have if you got taxed at the source. When you buy food or clothing or buy that new car, you get taxed. The purchase is made and then the business makes money which in turn people can work. I know I simplified it but it would happen close to that.

Just because your business and others can reduce their workforce and remain profitable does not assist in the overall stability of the nations economy.

Well see this is where you are wrong. By having my little business, I can expand without the worries of having to have a tax ID, pay employee taxes and that bunch of other crap. I can now say to my friend who just lost his job, "hey come and help me out and we will split the profits" which will help the economy. I can't do that now, it is too complex.

Without an expandable tax base, more people at work, we will continue to see an increase in entitlement programs dumped on the American working class.

I don't see it. The entitlement programs we have are out of control not because of the unemployment but because how we structured them in the first place. We are still thinking 1950's when we need to think 2010's.

Expanding tax base means a more punitive system of tax and more flexible means of capturing revenue which is actually scary.

Yes, we have a spending problem in this country and both parties are at fault.

I think the biggest fault sits with the American people who don't want to change while thinking we can return to the 1950's.

But we need to stop the blame game, roll up our sleeves and cut into the pork.
Reduce entitlement expenditures, reduce our federal workforce from the top down.....just to name a few.

Yep we have to stop the blame game but we also as a nation need to stop with this idea that it is all about the individual, like in the case of social security.

What we really need to do is to take a 10% cut across the board this year and another 10% cut next year, with the following year another 10%. we need to remove the line item budget increases that are based on inflation and on projected growth within most departments and programs. See what we don't want to hear is if the program has a cut, it really isn't a cut because they get these funding increases automatically.

In most cases, he can't even do that on his own without violating treaties and other agreements.

But more important is the candidate who doesn't understand the importance of an apostrophe.

I'd vote for the OP.
'Business' has had its' way for a long time, using lobbyists to buy legislation, [to increase profits] and media to spread the message that they are unfairly burdened by regs & taxes. [It's everyone else's 'entitlements' that are the problem.]
Except when they've been given a chance to hire folks, they did not - they sat on the money, saying the 'political/economic future is too uncertain' to be hiring.
And you believe they will be different now?

A consumption tax mainly benefits the wealthy, who can afford to save more of their income.
If it replaces the income tax, a consumption tax takes away the ability of the government to use taxation to set budgets and develop sound economic goals.
In addition, if there is no income tax, there are no deductions for mortgage interest and charitable contributions.
