Idleaire in trouble

That would be a sad thing if that happens. With the new Idle laws, I think they offer a good service. When their cost was $1.25 per hour people used them more. Now it's $2.25 per hour which is $54.00 in 24 hours. You can get a cheap motel for that.

I knew someone was going to post that. Another example of a poor return on their original investment (ROI).
They will be ok though, as it "doesn't exist".
Maybe just bad "luck"?......oops....that doesn't exist either.

It was all them "disgusting" smokers blowing smoke into the equipment that sank them. Oh and they charge too much also.DD.

Without a doubt those things were contributors. I have to wonder if it could even be saved. A lot of issues and debt to overcome.

They probly got started with a Government grant of some kind. I never used them even at a buck an a quarter. A nice park with a coup'l a trees wuz/is ok by me.

Amazing to me that on a outing with the family, a blanket under the tree is wunnerful, but, on the work days, it don't work? What's with this?

Col, it is my understanding they did have government funding. At the same time - I think when there is a good service like Idleaire - drivers should avail themselves of it else it's going to die on the vine like it has.

When I was on the road - I subscribed to that service that provided cable tv and dial-up in the truck. I think as an industry - we should support the services that support us. IMHO.

Not sure?
My only pet peeve on the PNV was when it snowed, and try to get stuff plugged in. Oh yeah, and bent plug ins because the thing got ran over.
Driving off in a hurry and loosing a few cords was another.
Oh...the good ole days.:p

Lawrence, I agree wholeheartedly, that IF folks NEED those neat things, and NEED to be at a truckstop, they should support the industries that support them. As long as the industry don't try and take a seat at your table (as most do). But, the ones that need those neat things, didn't support the industry either, soo, I guess THEY may have to go without. Iv'e seen many a truck parked under a tower, ideling as I passed by after fueling, on my way to find my tree.
