Its that time of year again to walk on water..
Make sure ya talk about safety with the young and among your selfs each time ya head out no matter how safe ya feel..If on unfamiliar ice, drill and check thickness on your way out.
Use the buddy system,walking on water by yourself is asking for trouble. Even with good ice,,bad weather blowing in can make it difficult to get off the ice by yourself..(Ice cleats help when ya gotta bail fast

My son is saying he has been drilling up to 9 inches on our local lakes just before this last thaw..slow fishing but good ice..
