I Wasn't Skeered

All the time I was driving, I don't ever remember being concerned for my safety. I don't mean in the ice and snow, I mean while parked and sleeping. I always had my phone close at hand and had written down the address of the particular location I was parked in. Has anyone else had any safety concerns or suggestions?

Only thing I was skeered about was being blocked in by the morning workforce. Parking on the street in Queens is a dangerous thing. :D

Yep, If you don't park at the end of the block, or, next to a no parking zone, it'll happen every time.

Kinda like being "stuck in a Truck" I guess.

Hawk mentioned something about parking on the street in Queens. Parking with a Queen on the street is also hazardous. (so I've heard)

I have nightmares about retired folks in their 50 foot RV's backing over me while I am sleeping. They drive from up north to the south and back again once in a year. Not much driving time over the course of two trips. Somehow that makes them professional drivers. Not!

One time I was at the "J" (Exit 2 on I-65) and parked in well lighted area with my THREE ORANGE CONES strategically placed in an arc pattern about 4-5 feet behind the van. Upon awaking in the morning I found the middle one, the point cone, had been run over.

Well I always keep the phone next to me, but I always try to get the corner parking spot under the parking lot light. Plus if I idle my van I keep the marker lights on.

Does being held up at knife point, by two thugs, in your own motel room, qualify? If so then I was scared.

I work for a smaller company who doesn't use QC's. Whenever I pull off to rest I send a text message to my wife's phone with my location. At least if something ever happens they will have some idea of where to start looking.
