I am a newbie!Should I file taxes if I only made $

I started this expediting/courier service with different companys last year and when I add all the money I made last year it comes out to about $10,000.Is it worth even filing or should I wait and then file them next yr?I do not expect to pay anything back or recieve from uncle sam since I will be itemizing expenses like gas etc...

Well Jail might not be too bad, 3 squares a day,free health care,exercise yard,lots of good buddies that want to hang out with you at night after lights out. No traffic jams,no irate shippers,no worries about fuel prices. Life could be worse,let us know how you make out.

Get an accountant NOW and bring all your stuff to them to get your taxes done NOW. It should cost no more than $350 to get it all done correctly.

if you wait, than it will cost you more than $350 in fines alone, and let's not forget the lawyer - unless you like the idea of HBO and free showers?

File them. Even if you don't get money back you will probably generate a credit to carry forward to this year's taxes that will help you when you make more money. The bigger picture is they are not optional or whenever you feel they are appropriate. They are every year regardless. It's one of the painful parts of being a good citizen.

Thank you guys for cautioning me on filing my taxes.
I am now on http://www.turbotax.com/?source=syb...tan_TurboTax&ovmkt=3B62QTKNLPJ6GTITOQJO1H5RV0 and I plan on doing my own taxes where everything will even out.I also have all my receipts.
Which tax product will I need on this site?Can I use the DELUX which
Supports all 1040 forms and provides step-by-step guidance to find extra deductions.I plan on claiming uniform,gas,cell,utilities at home,per diem etc..
I also need to find a web site to help me with deductions.
