HI EVERYONE! IF ANYONE CAN ANS. SOME QUESTIONS OR HAS SOME OPINIONS ABOUT A COUPLE BECOMING A TEAM WE WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU! I'M CURRENTLY A SOLO DRIVER, WE BOTH LIKE TRAVELING AND FEEL THAT WE COULD SPEND A WEEKEND IN A PHONE BOOTH TOGETHER WITHOUT KILLING ONE ANOTHER! I'VE TALKED TO THE DISPATCH SUPERVISOR AND HE SAID THAT HUSBAND AND WIFE TEAMS ARE IN DEMAND AND ARE KEPT BUSY! THERE ARE NO CHILDREN AT HOME TO WORRY ABOUT JUST OUR BIRD WHO WE MAY TAKE WITH US!, SO HOW'S THE BEST WAY TO DO THE PAY THING? WE'RE NOT CURRENTLY MARRIED YET BUT IT'S IN THE WORKS! BUT WE MAY BE DRIVING TEAM BEFORE OUR SPECIAL DAY. WOULD WE HAVE TO WORK AS AN OWNER/DRIVER TEAM ON SPLIT PAY SCALE OR SOMETHING? ANY WAY I'M SURE YOU ALL MAY HAVE A BUNCH OF IDEAS AND OPINIONS OR THOUGHTS AND WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE THAT CAN HELP OUT! WE WANT TO AT LEAST KNOW SOME OF THE UPS AND DOWNS BEFORE WE DECIDE ! THANKS IN ADVANCE ! SHARP327 :)

Good idea to drive together first to make sure you can live with each other 24/7. We are a team and it works great for us. If you are getting married the pay split shouldn't be an issue. If it is, one of you would have to be paid as a employee. There are some other posts on here relating to that. The other piece of advise is not to over extend yourself financially. We have seen that to be the downfall of alot of teams. Especially high truck payments and obligations at home. We have no debt. No truck, car, or house payments. Keeps everything very stress free. Hope this helps!!
