Just yesterday 24 hours ago Igor was a mere tropical storm...now approaching a category 5 hurricane...

AT 1100 PM AST...0300 UTC...THE EYE OF HURRICANE IGOR WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 17.6 NORTH...LONGITUDE 47.8 WEST. IGOR IS MOVING
TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 13 MPH...20 KM/HR. A TURN TOWARD THE
WEST-NORTHWEST WITH SOME DECREASE IN FORWARD SPEED IS EXPECTED TO
BEGIN LATE MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO NEAR 150 MPH...240
KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. IGOR IS A CATEGORY FOUR HURRICANE ON
THE SAFFIR-SIMPSON HURRICANE WIND SCALE. SOME FLUCTUATION IN
INTENSITY IS LIKELY DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS...AND IGOR COULD
BECOME A CATEGORY FIVE HURRICANE ON MONDAY.

Will become a cat 5 for a short time,then head north. BTW why all the worry over Hurricane's, I do not remember any hitting Bison......:eek:

They expect it to land somewhere between 41 degrees, 30' N - 81 degrees, 41' W AND 41 degrees, 23' N - 83 degrees, 05' W.

I'm a South Florida boy, there is just something about horizontal rains over 150 mph that isn't right.

I'm guessing OVM doesn't like hurricanes for a few reasons:
1) Lowers his fuel economy when heading into the wind...
2) Sprinters tend to blow over in high winds
3) He doesn't want to scratch up his new windshield.

Sounds like we'll be going through the alphabet a 2nd time this year. Only Sept. and we're at "i".

Pretty unique storm if it's going to make landfall somewhere between Akron and Findlay Ohio. :rolleyes:

actually J...Julia is right behind Igor...

Actually they are charting Igor thru the center of Burmuda and into NYC....maybe we won;t have to worry about any mosque actually any of NYC any more...

When I was little, I had neighbors... Igor and Olie (sp?) Hunka (sp)! Names one never forgets!

OVM will you be doing Canada once again at your new gig?
