When I read this article, I thought, what would the economy look like if we all followed this rule? I guarantee that someone who makes 150 to 200k is going to buy more than a Honda Civic, and I can say that for my income range it says 3-5 year old economy car or motorcycles. Now I do own a motorcycle, but no way am I going to go that cheap on a car.....

OK I'm retired so what I am doing wont work for most. I am in year 3 of life with out a gas guzzling, piston clinking, air polluting, smoke belching four wheel buggy. When my 27 year old Ols died, I wanted to see what life would be like with out one. Thanks to increasing delivery services like Amazon and Kroger's, I am getting along just fine. Electric bike, shoe leather, and Lyft round out the strategy.
