Just talking about Expedite companies, how many companies have you been signed on with? In what length of time?

Over a period of six years 3 companies, changed after one month with the second one due to a major rule change.

9 1/2 years with Con-Way Now and 1 1/2 years with Panther. I incurred my first ever service failure last week as the result of an alternator failure.

What if you were an individual that was employed by several fleet owners for several years who had leases with the company that you are now a O/O with. Does your time with the fleet owners carry over to your record. I would think not as the lease contract was with the owner and not you. So there are corrections that should be made in one of the preceeding posts.

Have to disagree with that one Rich. I was with different fleet owners at Roberts/FedEx.. but I only consider myself being with one company. Tho I was in differnt trucks, and in fact different unit sizes, I only delivered for one company.

The question was signed on with.. I agree that could be interpreted as you had a lease with... but I think it also includes time spent as a driver for an O/O leased to that company.

Panther for 4 months, Bolt for 7 months, Conway for 5 years, then 8 wasted months of my time and money with Tri-State, now 1 year with RJR Transport. The first two are there, although i consider them a learning experience as i had just come into expediting,.
