How do you change text color?

I'm using an iPhone 4 and can't figure out how to change font color, use bold text or use italic. I can't even find the smiley faces! How can I do these things from my iPhone? Or do I need to be on my laptop for these features?

I think you have to be on your laptop. I tried a while back. EO App access to emoticons and fonts on iPhones is lame, to say the least.
