How do I know if the response I get is from a recruiter or from just another member of the forum?

You will know if the member posting is a Moderator or not by their profile. Otherwise, ask. I don't think there are folks out there posing as recruiters.

It is good to speak with drivers from the companies you are interested in also. They can give you the "other side" of the company. Remember to "digest" all the info, sorting BS from fact from either source.

OK, I have noticed the 'moderator' on some of them.

I'm new to this forum (but not to truck driving forums) and I was curious as to how this forum works.

John: for the benefit of the newbies (and some not so new), could you please specify which Mods are recruiters, and for whom? It almost looks as if the PO thinks that all Mods are recruiters.....

Thanks Cheri - great point and I missed that, my bad. There will also be a "tag" line below each post with the poster's screen name, and usually what they do, ie... O/O - Straight truck leased to... or Senior Recruiter, or Moderator. To my knowledge, there are only two folks that do recruiting that are moderators - Anne M from Bolt and myself. Scott H was also at one time.

Again, if the poster would like correct recruiting info, the best place to get that is from the company he or she is interested in, by contacting that company directly, by phone.
