HOS and expediting

Is there a site that will explain in basic terms what the rules for HOS are for expediters? I think, if I understand this right, that when you get to a certain size vehicle, the HOS then apply to you. Is that correct? Lots of infor on the net as to HOS and the Class driver, but limited to expediting.

Thanks in advance for answering this and other questions I have posted. I am trying to research as deply as possible to avoid hurting my family. I hope that posting each topic of question in a new post, I can get clear answers.

Hours of service requirements apply to all commercial vehicles with a gvw exceeding 10,000 pounds. There are no special hours of service rules for expediters - the rules and regulations apply equally to all. If you understand the HOS regs you can apply them to any situation regardless of what type vehicle your are operating.
