FMCSA seeks to relax requirements for vision exemptions | Regulations content from Fleet Owner
The FMCSA may relax the requirements for their vision waiver by reducing, or even better eliminating the requirement for a driver to already have 3 years' experience driving a CMV before applying for the waiver. For me, this is hugely good news: after all, how can you legally drive a CMV without a medical card anyway? The 3-year requirement has prevented me from getting the waiver before, and has been for me actual proof of the concept of "Catch 22".
There is a comment period starting for this (as noted in the article) and I shall comment on it as soon ad I finish this post. Please pray for me/send good thoughts my way/etc. Thanks!!
