The President of the United States has NO business in LOCAL matters!! That is, unless you are a Fascist wanting to take over the country.

This incedent just points out what many have always believed about Obama right from the start. He is a racist, he does NOT believe in equal rights for all and truely hates traditional American values, like, pressumed innocence.

It's good to know that these police officers are standing behind their comrade. They don't appear to see any color but BLUE, which is how it should be.

On the case as a whole, how does it further the cause of eliminating racism when the black is so prejudiced against the white? This takes us back to the childhood lesson of "two wrongs don't make a right". Some of us are really working hard at this, some need to begin, but....you're gonna have to stay out of my face because you're not helping matters!

And the bottom line about "O Kool One" is that he shouldn't have used the Presidential pulpit to utter one word on this.

Just my two pennies in the pond....

I couldn't agree with you more. Here you have two different races actively supporting each other. Is that not the goal of the civil rights act, affirmative action, etc., etc.? Secondly, the female officer's voicing on t.v. that she will not vote for Obama in the next election is one darned gutsy move. I admire those folks. I admire that they are willing to stand behind Sergeant Crowley.

It was a wonderful thing to see. I pray that more of the "fooled many" have finally had their eyes openned to the realities that is Obama and Co. ALL of our problems, racical issued included are GOING to be sloved, not by the force of law, but by the hard work and efforts of everyday Americans. We, as humans, forget that man is short lived and problems are not. There is NO magic pill for sloving these kinds of problems. We HAVE come a very long way and we still have a VERY long way to go. Mankind will ALWAYS be a "work in progress". Some issues might not EVER fully go away, the secret to a good life is to keep working on them.

Maybe the female officer will now receive an invitation to Thursday's "beer with the prez".....that'll make it all better!!

IF I were that officer who was invited to the White House for that beer I can promise you that I would NOT accept that invetation. Barry IS a racist AND a Fascist. I would NOT trust his motives. His comments PROVES that he does NOT believe in innocence before guilt, gun owners already knew this, and proved that he does NOT believe in local problems being sloved on the local level. He BELIEVES that HE as supreme ruler should slove everything with the wave of his hand. In his sick idea of what right is.

Pretty soon, Obama will invite the whole Cambridge police force for a beer, movie, popcorn, cigars, cheesburgers, and fries. Seems like there is an active revolt against him and his calling Sergeant Crowley and by extension their police force "Stupid".

Oh I hope there is an "active revolt" against Obama and his ideas. It IS time to bring back Traditional American values. Obama is opposed to those ideas and lives in the world of bigotry and hatred. It is now begining to show.

July 28, 2009A Post-Racial President?

By Thomas Sowell

Many people hoped that the election of a black President of the United States would mark our entering a "post-racial" era, when we could finally put some ugly aspects of our history behind us.

That is quite understandable. But it takes two to tango. Those of us who want to see racism on its way out need to realize that others benefit greatly from crying racism. They benefit politically, financially, and socially.

Barack Obama has been allied with such people for decades. He found it expedient to appeal to a wider electorate as a post-racial candidate, just as he has found it expedient to say a lot of other popular
things-- about campaign finance, about transparency in government, about not rushing legislation through Congress without having it first posted on the Internet long enough to be studied-- all of which turned to be the direct opposite of what he actually did after getting elected.

Those who were shocked at President Obama's cheap shot at the Cambridge police for being "stupid" in arresting Henry Louis Gates must have been among those who let their wishes prevail over the obvious implications of Obama's 20 years of association with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Anyone who can believe that Obama did not understand what the racist rants of Jeremiah Wright meant can believe anything.

With race-- as with campaign finance, transparency and the
rest-- Barack Obama knows what the public wants to hear and that is what he has said. But his policies as president have been the opposite of his rhetoric, with race as with other issues.

As a state senator in Illinois, Obama pushed the "racial profiling" issue, so it is hardly surprising that he jumped to the conclusion that a policeman was racial profiling when in fact the cop was investigating a report received from a neighbor that someone seemed to be breaking into the house that Professor Gates was renting in Cambridge.

For those who are interested in facts-- and these obviously do not include President Obama-- there has been a serious study of racial profiling in a book titled "Are Cops Racist?" by Heather Mac Donald. Her analysis of the data shows how this issue has long been distorted beyond recognition by politics.
The racial profiling issue is a great vote-getter. And if it polarizes the society, that is a price that politicians are willing to pay in order to get votes. Academics who run black studies departments, as Professor Henry Louis Gates does, likewise have a vested interest in racial paranoia.

For "community organizers" as well, racial resentments are a stock in trade. President Obama's background as a community organizer has received far too little attention, though it should have been a high-alert warning that this was no post-racial figure.

What does a community organizer do? What he does not do is organize a community. What he organizes are the resentments and paranoia within a community, directing those feelings against other communities, from whom either benefits or revenge are to be gotten, using whatever rhetoric or tactics will accomplish that purpose.

To think that someone who has spent years promoting grievance and polarization was going to bring us all together as president is a triumph of wishful thinking over reality.
Not only Barack Obama's past, but his present, tell the same story. His appointment of an attorney general who called America "a nation of cowards" for not dialoguing about race was a foretaste of what to expect from Eric Holder.

The way Attorney General Holder has refused to prosecute young black thugs who gathered at a voting site with menacing clubs, in blatant violation of federal laws against intimidating voters, speaks louder than any words from him or his president.

President Obama's first nominee to the Supreme Court is, like Obama himself, someone with a background of years of affiliation with an organization dedicated to promoting racial resentments and a sense of racial entitlement.

An 18th century philosopher said, "When I speak I put on a mask. When I act I am forced to take it off." Barack Obama's mask slipped for a moment last week but he quickly recovered, with the help of the media. But we should never forget what we saw.

Great artical. The longer Obama is in the public eye the more likely it is that his ugly ideas and beliefs will become more known. He is just not able to hide his true self for long, no one is. He is a man that is filled with hatred and rage against traditional America. It slipped out last week. There will be more slips as time goes by. Why? His VAST EGO!! He HAS to inject his ideas into the lime light!! Most wanna be gods do.

You got to ask yourself why is the nation falling all over itself on this single issue which is in fact a non-issue.

All of us face racism every day, from the 'minority' girl who helps her self to spiking the food at McDonald's because she doesn't like the white girls who ordered it to the idiot greeter at Bob Evans who treats the black family crappy because they act differently. We all either ignore it or stoop to the level that causes us to act on it when we shouldn't.

If I was the cop, I would tell the president to go to h*ll, he insulted the cop and knew what he was doing. The professor should have been charged like everyone else and this should have gone to court.

In fact no one is really talking about the real issue here, does the city want the cops to stop protecting themselves and the public by following a uniform procedure or do they want to tie the hands of the cops even more?

When you examine this idea that the professor was a victim, it make a rational person wonder if this is not staged to get the most PR to sell something. I understand that the professor has now engaged a manager to arrange speaking events on racism and may publish a book. Doesn't this cheapen legitimate civil right issues and actually opens up more of the division between the races?

What has happened in my life time is simply that more people have become enslaved by the idea that they will never be better than someone else. It spans cultures and races, there is no boundaries but to use this person as the poster child for a civil rights cause is a stretch because he is one of the people who welcome enslaving others, he is by all of his own accounts an elitist and intellectual who feels he is better then the rest of us by his own actions - the cops can't arrest me, I am right and they are wrong.

The press is at fault for all of this in the first place, since the election of an angry man, they have helped fan the flames of hatred more and more and now of all things they are trying to equate this issue with the issues of people who invade the country, making them victims of the same hatred and racism.

If anything the president owes the cop an honest apology, the mayor needs to apologize to the citizens of her city and the press needs to stop with the rhetoric that divides us in the first place.

To be fair to the professor, he's no slouch and by the looks of this profile, race and race relations have been his life's work. I haven't heard anything about him hiring a manager but it appears that he's been "on the circuit" for quite some time....

HERE

Now, having said that in his defense, it should also be stated that with this lifetime of work concerning race, HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO REACT THE WAY HE DID....AND THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD, should have known not to get involved in a local situation, friend or not.

It appears to me that you have THREE people here, all with EXTENSIVE training and life's work concerning race relations. The professor, as you've read above....the Prez with all of his community organinzing....and the officer, who teaches racial profiling classes. Isn't it interesting that the officer, the only white man of the three, is the only one that did not overreact.

So after calling Sergeant Crowley stupid and by extension his fellow officers in Cambridge, guess what Joe Biden announced today:

The Most Expensive Teachable Moment in History

Some very sympathetic police officers are going after the president on national TV, and what a surprising coincidence, Joe Biden has suddenly decided to make a donation to the Fraternal Order of Police -- for $1 billion:

BREAKING -- “Philadelphia, PA – Vice President Joe Biden and Attorney General Eric Holder today [will announce] $1 billion in grants to fund the hiring and rehiring of law enforcement officers all across the country under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The grants will be awarded to 1,046 law enforcement agencies from all 50 states and will provide 100 percent of the approved salary and benefits for 4,699 officers for three years. … ‘A big part of the Recovery Act is about building communities – making them as strong as they can be, allowing every American family to live a better life than the one they are leading now,’ said Vice President Joe Biden. ‘And we can’t achieve the goal of stronger communities without supporting those who keep our streets safe.’”

That's a pretty expensive make up kiss to the police officers in America. I guess they are not stupid after all.

This is the point many are making. If he was really and truly a scholar as the media has pointed out, then he should be the first to know how to react and how to handle the situation.

What his reaction was, came right out of the activist play book to garner attention. Many speculate on his reasoning but from what I can see with his increased popularity, this is a completely staged event on his part.

AND THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD, should have known not to get involved in a local situation, friend or not.

This is what really matters, Obama gets involved like an angry man with an agenda and no matter what happens, the depth of the problem is increased muiltiple times. Since that happened, there has been a 'examination' of the problems minoriteis go through and even dragging some people out of the wood work to prove that racism still exsist in reconstruction style.

It appears to me that you have THREE people here, all with EXTENSIVE training and life's work concerning race relations. Actually from the Cambridge PD there was something about the guy, he doesn't teach how to profile but how not to use profiling as a method of policing. The interesting thing is the press did the best to make him out as the villian but I think the professor is the real villian here.

Like I said, this was staged, has to be....

Greg, you cannot expect an HONEST apology from Obama. In fact, you can't use the work honest and Obama in the same sentence.

Obama acts like many angry young black men who hate Tradtional Armerica do. A large part of that anger is due to his lousy parents. The rest is due to the scum that he hangs around with, you know, traitors and hate mongers.
