Well the cold days have to be here! We have now run in snow freezing fog and sleet!

I really enjoy the fall by getting to see all of the leaves change colors, the blustery days and the cold nights that are perfect for sleeping.

I like to make us up a batch of Hot Chocolate to keep in the truck for a perfect evening when old man winter is howling at us and we are parking for the night. I will make us our hot chocolate, throw a blanket over our legs and put a great movie on.

Here is my hot chocolate recipe and it is perfect for the truck with lots of flavor:

8 qt box powdered milk
11 oz jar plain coffee mate
1 lb box of powdered sugar
1 lb box chocolate powdered mix (Nestlé's Quick)

Mix all ingredients together. Use 1/2 cup of this mixture per coffee cup filled with hot water.

ENJOY Fall and Winter

Nope I don't think it will matter. Once you have tried this recipe you will not go back!

Oh this sounds so wonderful! We have to use the sugar free hot chocolate but, like you, we are loving this cold weather. This week we ran into snow and freezing rain for the first time this year. We are stocked up on movies and have our little heater in the truck. The last time we were home I made a huge pot of spaghetti sauce and froze it in zip lock bags. I also fixed a big pot of stew meat and froze it in zip lock bags. I'm ready to make our favorite winter meals.

I whipped this up and it is very good. Then, I put it in pint jars and gave it to my skinny friends. It packs a wholloping 230 calories a cup!:)

Coco,

I always wondered how many calories where in a cup of the hot chocolate. Now I know exactly why it tastes so darn good.

It tastes even better when you add Kahlua :9 but since we can't do that in the truck, I stick to hot tea instead. 'Constant Comment' has a wonderful orangey aroma, and is zero calories, if you use Splenda, Equal, or Stevia, instead of sugar.
