Google "swing out for salt spreader" It will show Snowex PPT-175. These are swing out arms that are 37inches long and have a plate that is drilled to mount a salt spreader on. You could put the generator in a box and bolt right to the bracket. Watch the weight. I think these are rated at 175#'s. Also on Amazon type in StowAway Hitch Mount Swing Arm. If you expand out the photo's you will find one that shows mounting strips at you could bolt a plate or box to and secure your generator. This one is rated at 250#'s. The prices on both units are around $200 to $270. My friends set their generator on the ground and chain it to the van. Last week in Cali while they were sleeping, someone cut the chain and drove away with it faster than they could get out of the van to catch them. I guess thats the cheap way to get a Honda 2000. Good luck with what ever you choose. These are both cheaper than I can have one made. But the home made on would be stronger.

I paid way more than a pretty built one but it's also way stronger and built to fit my application.

Xiggy, no problems with the cops not being able to see your license plate?
I used to have a pickup truck where the license plate was on the bumper right behind the hitch ball. I had a trailer hooked up to the hitch and a cop was complaining that he can't see the whole license plate. I asked what he wanted me to do about it and he dropped it.

Man you just blew my mind. Is that pegboard in the sides? Such a simple way to organize off the floor...

Ok I zoomed in :D but I got the idea from the pic because I thought I saw it...its pegboard or track for me, I can change the layout every day if I want :D

Xiggi. I like it a lot. You are a very good expediter. Bigger than any thing I would want. May go with a Honda 3000. I think is is a bit smaller. Glad you posted the photos.

I have a Honda 300. There is just enough room for the generator and a 2 gallon gas can. Height wise it's probably 2 inches above the top of it. The pic with the cover is the actual size, I had the cut it down a little from the other picture.
