I think the initial answer to this would be the same as the answer of who to sign a truck on with. You need to research the various companies and determine which are stronger for teams and which are stronger for solos. You need to learn which have freight that regularly runs somewhere reasonably near your home. It doesn't matter where the company is headquartered as long as they have the freight to keep you running and getting in and out of home.
