hi all. new to the forum and worried to death.

RANDY i have a trucking company in michigan (dump trucks) well the neightbor has a cargo van, he has been buggying me to get one.
i went to his work and talked with them and got hired on, so i went and bought a cargo van (van,plates, insurance cost 16000.00) i have made one load with this van(12 miles). thay say its going to pick up but i am starting to wonder about this.
what do you ppl think, is this just a slow time or what, it took me a month to make the move now i just dont know. i thought i had read all i could till i found this site, now i am more worried than ever.

there are a couple slow times of the year but i have a few questions to fill in the gaps. hope you don't mind me asking.

Right now it has been slow for me, but my wife is sick and i got to spend the holidays here at home. I really haven't done much in getting the work for the last few weeks and i know there is freight out there. I been to canada a bunch since Christmas but I am going to be moving to Indy to get away from this area (i am down the road from you) to make more money.

RANDY we haul asphalt and broken concrete from april to november. i have had the van for 4 days now. i took the load just for something to do. even our summer work was slow. where you moving to...

RANDYi just hate to think i was lied to about the work thay have. spending this money put me in the poor house... and the company is eagle in romulus........ thay share an office with landstar thats who the neighbor works for.....

RANDY I have done alot of asphalt work in dearborn hts over the years. i live right next to annapolis hospital in wayne....

No No No, sorry should have been clear. I am planning on moving to the Indy market to get a load. I have to drop off Christmas gifts on the way there, so it is a dual purpose move.
