I have been calling two fleet owners,four times in the past two weeks.They claim to have over 20 straight trucks,with all the bells and whistles,and getting more.I have yet to get a phone call back from them.Why post an ad on this website,if they can't or won't call a person back ? They could at least tell me they are looking for teams,and not solo drivers. All I get is Joe Blow will be in touch with you shortly.How long is shortly ? x(

I will touch on a couple of things, but you probably aren't going to like my answer. For me, I only hire teams, so I know you didn't call me.
But, if a owner is making a offer to you with a new truck with "all the bells and whistles" you are likely talking to a broke or foolish owner if he knows you are a single operator. The cost to operate a new truck with all the goodies is not realistic with a solo driver. No matter how you flip those numbers around, it really has little profit. Primarily because of the new HOS. You are available only a percentage of time that a team is.
Simple as that.
That is likely why you aren't getting calls returned. You will eventually, but only from the desperate.
