LOL, yea barry the Job creator!!! Remember when joe went into his rant with the "SUMMER OF RECOVERY"...lol that was in 2010..then this summer everything was doing great , yeap McDonalds had that giant hiring event...lol...Now here we are June of 2011 and we now have the worse improvement in unemployment in 9 months..lol...barry has said he wasn't going to rest until he fixed the job market...guess he is pretty tired..i know that the unemployed and alot of other people are tired of him...then there was the 3 LETTER WORD that joe spoke of in 2008 that was the most important thing for barry JOBS..lol that joe, he is such a funny guy...id hate to see what the unemployment numbers would be if this is WASN'T the most important thing to barry and joe....

Now, most people that understand the free market and business really understand that the government can not create jobs (well unless it is within the government and paid for with tax dollars, and barry has done that for sure) but when you have the idiot in the WH proclaiming that his admin is creating millions of jobs and the unemployment rate continues to rise, somethings just doesn't jive....I wonder how that "hope and change" is working for the country.....LOL....

Oh and i heard it on the radio this morning, the WH is blaming this bad report on the REPUBLICANS...yeap, its their fault..because businesses are afraid to hire because the REPUBLICANS won't agree to raise taxes on the rich (small employers) and raise the debt ceiling....yeap business want to pay more in taxes so they can hire more people...

Jobs Barely Rise, Dashing Hopes of Economic Revival - Careers Articles
By Lucia Mutikani

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. employment growth ground to a halt in June, with employers hiring the fewest number of workers in nine months, dampening hopes the economy was on the cusp of regaining momentum after stumbling in recent months.

Nonfarm payrolls rose only 18,000, the weakest reading since September, the Labor Department said on Friday, well below economists' expectations for a 90,000 rise.

The unemployment rate climbed to 9.2 percent, the highest since December, from 9.1 percent in May.

The government revised April and May payrolls to show 44,000 fewer jobs created than previously reported. The report shattered expectations that the economy was starting to accelerate after a soft patch in the first half of the year.

The private sector added 57,000, accounting for all the jobs created, with government employment shrinking 39,000 because of fiscal problems at local and state governments.

Economic activity in the first six months of the year was dampened by rising commodity prices and supply chain disruptions following Japan's devastating earthquake in March.

WHITE HOUSE HEADACHES

Signs the labor market is struggling is a major blow for the Obama administration, which has struggled to get the economy to create enough jobs to absorb the 14.1 million unemployed Americans.

The economy is the top concern among voters and will feature prominently in President Barack Obama's bid for re-election next year. So far, the economy has regained only a fraction of the more than 8 million jobs lost during the recession.

At the same time, the Federal Reserve -- which wrapped up a $600 billion bond-buying program last week designed to spur lending and stimulate growth -- appears unlikely to take any further steps to boost the economy.

The economy needs to create between 125,000 and 150,000 new jobs a month just to absorb new labor force entrants. (lol this is the number that just covers the NEW people coming into the job market, not including to fix unemployment, lol..yea hope and change and barry..lol)*

Details of the report showed widespread weakness, though factory payrolls rebounded 6,000 after contracting in May for the first time in seven months, with the recovery reflecting a step-up in motor vehicle production.

Construction employment fell 9,000 last month after declining 4,000 in May. Government employment declined for an eighth straight month as municipalities and state governments continued to wield the axe to balance their budgets.

The report also showed the average workweek fell to 34.3 hours from 34.4 hours. Employers have been reluctant to extend hours because of the uncertainty surrounding the recovery.

Average hourly earnings slipped a penny, more evidence that wage-driven inflation is not a risk. (Reporting by Lucia Mutikani; Editing by Neil Stempleman)

I am really happy that all of you that voted for barry had the insight to give us this great visionary that you all knew all he needed was a chance and that he, your buddy was going to fix our broken country with is ideals and policies of hope and change...lol I still remember hearing it here in this forum, "give him a chance"...how is that workin for you!?!? how much more of a chance do we need to continue to give him!?!? LOL....

Don't be so hard on the man! Are you going to believe the facts, or the administration talking points? They saved or created like 20 billion jobs since the evil George W, Bush left.;)

I will say this again - the president has less to do with job creation than does the congress.

IF you don't like what's going on, press your congressman and senators to get off their a** and do something constructive because EVERYTHING THAT DIRECTLY EFFECTS LARGE JOB CREATION ALL COMES FROM CONGRESS.

For example, the WH can not raise or lower taxes. A major problem with companies and individuals who would hire people.

For example, the WH can not fund programs or even create them even those within many departments.

For example, the WH can't reduce spending or cut funding to much of the present programs.

The job of the congress is to oversee the executive branch, which means they gave up control of regulation creation and handed it to the departments like the EPA which now has run the country into ground.

Blaming the president for Job is akin to blaming him for the weather. It is the job of every citizen to hold those who represent them directly accountable and when they don't do the job they are there for, replace them. THIS also goes for those who are in the "not my guy" category.

He can say what he wants to say but until the people who are being idiots and saying it is the president who is holding us back realize the power sits in the seats in congress, we will continue to have the mess and we will continue to have no jobs.

It doesn't matter what the opponents are saying, neither party has yet come up with a plan that can work or want to pursue the solutions we need. INSTEAD we are hearing constantly that it is Obama this and Obama that.

You are right, of course. We did here for 8 years that Bush did this and Bush did that and Bush caused this and Bush caused that.

In a way, it is the fault of the presidents and the media. They BOTH put it out that way.

SO, fair is fair, since Bush caused Katrina, forced the levees to overflow to kill poor black people and caused the housing crash then Barry Obama Bum caused all the problems we see today. Like tornadoes, the floods and hard working white people losing their jobs. He is making sure that NO hard working person ever has a job again.

Well, when we're force-fed that it's the job of the president to make jobs, you tend to believe that.

However, I would say a good president, say Reagan, can initiate policy that would boost the economy, and create jobs. Same as a bad president, say Carter, can sign legislation that is harmful to the economy, creating double-digit inflation, introducing a "misery index", and cause job loss. So yes, in the end, it is the president. What he signs becomes law. Who he appoints either enforces law, or creates policy. If a president ended up putting someone in charge of the DOT, and they wrote that truckers can drive 3, and be off 15, who would be to blame for the economy taking a nosedive? (besides Congress, if they allow it)

I would agree with you but in the case of Reagan, the people were angry and fed up with Carter, his own party turned on him and Reagan stepped in, presented a plan and ask congress to reduce taxes among other things which the man made the country feel it was going to get better and did.

Obama and this congress is a completely different situation. First he instills no confidence in the country or the future, he has to deal with a hostile congress and he has run aground in more than his presidency. His party is reluctant to support him but they also have their own separate agenda in congress. We had somewhat of a surprise with the tea party gains but saw that the republican members lost that opportunity to leverage the movement into something greater that could have damaged Obama. On top of that, we have a very confusing primary race shaping up with some who are in congress but have not put forth a bill or stated any plan outside of their campaign which may help all of us. All the while we are facing a lack of spending cuts and the president has his hands tied to the point he has to have congress's approval to do anything to fix some of the problems because of the pending credit issues the country has that congress is fighting over.

When Obama says he wants to spend 800 billion plus in taxe payer dollars.in the name of economic stimulus and job creation.then they show the american people a ghaph that showed if it was passed then unemploment would not go above 8% and if it was not passed then it would go above 9%.then it passes and in 2010 we were over 10%.then yes we can ask OBAMA where are the jobs at.

dont forget for the first two years the democrats had controll of congress and they could have passed anything they wanted with out any help from republicans dont belive me?(healthcare)so the whole Obama is up against a opposing congress does not really work.Im not saying the goverment creates jobs they dont!but dont spend almost a trillion dollars in our tax money in the name of jobs and not expect to get asked where are the jobs at:D

the president, commander in chief , the big man , the boss , all the same guy . the president is the boss . if the company isn't doing well the he isn't doing his job . and the leadership under him are not doing their jobs either . and the workers are not their jobs either . so if the boss is doing a ****ty job everybody will be doing a ****ty job .

I will respectfully disagree.

I have worked for several companies where the workers did outstanding work, inspite of an incompetent and lousy boss.

This very well could be, but to say, because of this, all are doing a ****ty job is just wrong.

and the workers in this case are the voters . so are the voters doing a great job . how many are not watching what the government is doing and making sure the government is doing the jobs right . dont you think it is time the workers /voters do their jobs and tell the Boss /president to start doing his job or get out . which we the voter has a right to do . how many more sex cases from the politician . or the other laws they are breaking . that they made for EVERYBODY to follow but cant follow them selfs . how much more is the voters /workers going to let happen before something is done . how much more proof do the voters /workers need before they take notice something is wrong

so yes everybody is doing a ****ty job

the voters by allowing the boss to give our money to the bosses buddies to bail them out . but the votes dont say anything when MA &PA needed help and they did get any but the big guy did . something wrong with that ???

or giveing money to the railroads , airlines . to help them .but only give the truckers more rules to follow .

oh that will make more jobs for the railroads and airlines . but now there will be more looking for jobs . because alot of truckers will be leaving trucking . because the solo guy wont be able to make it . only the big guy will becase he will get help from the BOSS . but the little guy wont .
