I've seen it do that too. Once I was checking the sattelite position and it would be one city for so many hours, than switch to another city for awhile....I think it was when I was in Indianapolis. I thought it was kinda strange. This was before the new board positions so it didn't affect anything, but I know what you're talking about.

Probably was just someone who was too lazy to help you out. Most of the time, dispatch is always very helpful to me and if something kicks me out of my position, they've usually been more than willing to get me my position back. All they have to do is look to see where your truck was and all and I'm sure the right person would help you out. Whenever one person gets an attitude and says they can't do something, I just call back cause you usually get someone else the next time who will help...lol. Just gotta get ahold of the right person!

Here's one for you: I was sitting at home in Salem, Ohio and I was still on the Sandusky board. I was told by a dispatcher that if a board has less vans on it than another, the system may keep you on that board. I should have been on the Akron/Cleveland board, but I had to wait another hour for the system to pick me up on the Akron/Cleveland board. Eventually it did, but I had to wait on everyone else that showed up on the board before me....even though I was there before they were. And of course, there was nothing that dispatch could do about that one.
