Help:Looking for useful message boards..

I hear everyone mentioning Garys board,can someone please give me the link? Im very interested in converting over to Hotshot hauling and im looking for all the useful info i can get. :confused: Ive driven co vehicles and ive been an O/O,but im looking for something a bit different in the transportation industry and Hotshotting cars is a idea of mine. I wouldnt mind leasing on to co to get me rolling,but my passion is to own it all(trailer,rights etc..),so could someone with experiance please help me in making my final decision? I would appreciate any help or advice..

Never heard of it and doing a search comes up with no information which means they might be fly by night or new and likely won't have much for loads, but I'm sure you know that already.

Thank you..I was reading some other posts on here and they made references for the gentleman to go to Garys board,and i thought that may have been a search engine or message page or something.

I dont know what it is! I was reading MikeKoldy's question and in his convo they made references to it like it was a message page or something. Im just trying to get as much reliable information i can in regards to Hotshot hauling cars..:confused:

The link posted above is correct. Gary and everyone on there is a wealth of information. If you want want hotshot/ltl type flatbed loads, this is the place.

This was a little arrogant, don't ya think?

Gary operates the Largest and most Informative Discussion Board on the internet for anything and everything related to both LTL Hauling and Hot Shot Hauling.

I'd say next time let those of us out here that knows the correct answers they are seeking to be allowed to answer their question before spouting off "fly by night" or "new" operation. "Opinions" like you posted above aren't all that helpful when one is seeking answers to questions that can be answered correctly, know what I mean. :rolleyes:

Well....maybe "arrogant" was not the right word. Ill probably eat that word, OK.

"Misinformed", "Unknown", or a simple "I have no idea, maybe some will speak up that knows what you're referring to will answer soon" would've been better off than the "Fly By Night" answer that was posted 7 minutes after the question was asked...................

Apparently you are unfamiliar with the word "might", it means they could be, not that I know they are. :rolleyes: It was simply a statement to be cautious as load boards like cargosoup are everywhere and I didn't want to see someone get ripped off.

Very good point, P, and it illustrates my sigline: the post actually offered info, and wasn't one that says "I don't have anything to say about that, but I just gotta say something anyhow". :rolleyes:
The sites that wannabes and newbies should avoid [waste of time, wrong info, whatever] is helpful too.

Garys board, which is also known as THE LTL/HotShot board, has been brought up here several several times for quite a while now. (years??) Since you're on here quite regularly nowadays, you've bound to have seen many of us out here refer to his board at one time or another. To be the first one to answer within 7 minutes after the question was asked, along with the way it was worded, was clearly not the correct thing to do.

Did I take offense? Well...Yeah....but we're cool. :)

What if the OP had taken your response and ran with it? He would have been misinformed and still up in the air when it came to answers he looking for in a whole other trucking industry. When people pop on the other trucking boards I'm associated with looking for answers to Expedite questions, I refer EVERYBODY here to EO because I know the correct answer to give and hardly ever come up with a "Fly By Night" opinion without checking the site, or sites, before I refer them anywhere.

Also, I agree with both you and Cheri, THERE ARE crooks, thieves, and scammers on many a discussion board/load board out there. In some cases, it may take even the most astute discussion board participator to finally realize that. I was just conned out of a sum of money from a discussion board owner that I had thought to be a "friend". I knew of his past ways of conning people from discussion boards, but somehow still seemed to get screwed out of money myself. Lesson learned.........................:eek:
