I am thinking of purchasing a van (b unit)and was wondering what kind of revenue I can expect.I have a D unit now that I drive, but the van would have a driver in it. My son got laid off from his steel mill job and is having a hard time finding a job that pays a livable wage, so I was thinking of getting a van and putting him in it.
What is the standard per mile pay for a van. Also,any drivers or owners that can tell me what the split is between owner and driver is would be appreciated. What does driver pay for and owner pay for.
I know I will be paying the payment,insurance and maintenance.
I am not looking to make a killing on this venture <Grin>,but need to make expenses and pay him a fair wage.
Am also looking for a decent van with a sleeper area,prefer diesel power,most likely used. Any idea on what kind of money we are talking about?
