HELP !!!!! have delorme pc gps

help i cant get it to work right, everytime i go to route and put the adresses in, it says unable to find accuratly..i use the complete address and it always says its unable to locate it...however when i click on find..it finds it right away and shows the location...why doesnt it find it under the routes where i need it the most, also it cant find it under routes even when i am sitting at the location with the gps on...any help would be appreciated before i drive 90 mph down the freeway and toss the whole thing out the window....advance search is no help either

Some months ago, DeLorme sent notices to users that a mandatory, free, software patch had to be downloaded and installed, or the program would cease to work properly.

They were'nt kidding, either.

This might be the solution to your problem.

Check their website, give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

We have been using various Delorme programs for about 5 years and haven't had trouble finding the addresses. We go to find, then quick search, and then type in the address as follows: 2054 smith rd., podunk, ar. At least 95% of the time it will find the address and go to it. We are currently using Street Atlas 2005. Sometimes the street is new and it will not show up on the map. We also use out companies local directions to find the correct street. If we cannot find the exact street, we try to find a connecting street from the loacal and work from it. Good luck.

The patch he refers to has to do with a change in the signal the satalites send. The USGS (Geological Survey something or another) changed the distance shift on the civilian use of GPS from 20 yards to 5 and its making glitches big time.
