Hello Newbie here

Hello to all of you my name is Robert Kiel from St. Louis Mo. I am new to EO and Expediting. I have been on here about a month just kinda of looking around the forums and learning about Expediting and also putting in applications with the different companies so far looks like a fleet owner at Landstar Express America is the one I will be going with and after 6-12 months will look at getting my own truck/cargo van. A little backround of my self I have approx 17 years expericence as a over the road tractor/trailer company driver. I got out of trucking for about 2 years because of the economy and some personal reasons(which have been taken care of) but I have to say I miss being on the road and so here I am looking to get back on the road on the Expedited side of trucking. I hope the economy turns around faster than most experts think it will and everyone that wants to make money does start making money. Have a great day everyone

Welcome to the fold and good luck with the new adventure. Yes the economy is turning around but it will be a long slow ride. If you can afford the poor times right now then you'll be all set for the better times coming. You'll also have the experience behind you to make money when things improve.

So keep listening, reading and don't be afraid to ask questions. No such thing as a silly question until you've been in the business for awhile. Learn as much as you can now while it's slow so when it's busy you'll know it all (hehehehe).
