Hello New to fourm

I am new here Jeff from the office told me it would be a good idea to join fourm. I am a OTR trucker and in aug 2005 I found out I was Diabetic and needed to use insluin to control it. If you read any of the trucking papers or listen to NPR on radio you know my story. I am going to post links so you can read them. There is nothing I like more than driving trucks and I will return to it soon I hope. I grew up in trucking and it has been my life for some time now. I would love to hear from any of you on any topics. And I hope you all can sign up on my tempoary site at truckerforlife.org or if you are on myspace I am jwm29 god bless and keep safe.

Thanks for posting this, and thanks to Jeff J for suggesting it. I had indeed heard your story. Tho I thankfully do not have diabetes, I keep a close watch on my sugar, as I do have risk factors.

As you said, I'm sure there are many out here dealing with this issue. Perhaps they can get info/inspiration from your story.

I hope so Dreamer my goal has turned in to helping others now and just from myspace there are about 6 drivers so far I have helped. We as drivers have got to face it the food in truck stops will kill you if you don't fight back. I used to be a flatbed driver and I kept a mt bike on chain rack on back of truck. But I started to run regional and started leaving it home bad idea. I hope to be able to return soon and I will not stop fighting for driver rights we need to stand and fight. God Bless
