Hi Guys and Gals,
Maybe I should be posting my questions and comments in the Newbee forum but since I have been a EO spectator for 2 years I feel like I know everyone.
My first question as a member is: Where are most of you finding good/affordable health care insurance. mmmm? is good/affordable an oxy/moron??;-)

I have health Insurance through OOIDA . I have a Catastrophic
Plan which costs me $141.00 per month. However there is a $5,000
deductible then they pay 90% up to $10,000 then 100% over that.My maximum out of pocket would be $5,500 for any surgery, hospital stay etc. I used to have a plan with Mega life out of Texas with a $3,000 deductible for $225 per month. Then I found out that the $3,000 was not a calender year deductible but an occurrence deductible,so if you had bad luck and 3-4 occurrences you could be looking at a lot of bucks out the door. I don!t know if you served in the military but I also have VA coverage and while it takes forever to get an appointment the medical treatment seems to be excellent and is real good for preventive care. Medications cost$7.00 per month and the Doctors do not rush you in and out but take their time with you. They don!t need to see 50 patients by noon to pay their insurance coverage.
The equipment is sate of the art,but I have never been able to find out what happens in an emergency ,in case I needed treatment at a local hospital who pays. So I carry the castastrophic plan just in case.
