No, I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people... Absolutely No Profiling! They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss,

but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling.

Sorry, but that's the same as "Send this to everyone in your address book." Any and all credibility that may be contained in the message is lost with that line. That's a technique that people who push misleading and often outright false propaganda will use. Get it in front of as many eyes as often as possible, and eventually they'll believe it.

And after reading the message in its entirety, this is just another example of pushing misleading, as well as outright false, information onto the masses. While Obama may be a lot of things, a Muslim male extremist between the ages of 17 and 40 he is not.

The really ironic thing is, you (or whomever penned this masterpiece) took one look at Obama's name and lumped him in with all the rest of the Muslin male extremists. That's profiling, and the results of the profiling in this case is dead wrong, so it actually makes a very strong case against profiling while trying to promote profiling.

Well, you're gonna have to give me your definition of "muslim", then, cause the one I have doesn't match up to Obama. You see, my definition, which is also the most widely accepted definition, is that a Muslim is a believer in or adherent of Islam. There is no evidence, none whatsoever, mind you, that Obama is a beliver or adherent of Islam. So, please, give me your definition of a Muslim so I can reconcile your unambigious statement that he is a muslim. (assuming that by "muslum" you actually mean muslim).

The problem with the article is that it's a factoid list (and an incorrect one at that) put together specifically for an agenda. Notice that no bad things appear on the list that doesn't include things performed "by Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40." Although many bad things have happened over the years, where's the list that shows the bad things perpetuated by non-Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40? For that matter, where's the Bad Things List performed by Muslim male extremists over the age of 40? That one's a longer list, actually, even though historically most violent criminals do, in fact, do most of their violence between the ages of 17 and 40, and after 40 they tend to mellow out a little. The articles keeps using "between the ages of 17 and 40" like it means something. It doesn't.

Shocking, I know. It's amazing how often people say the Bible says this or that, when in fact it doesn't say that at all. Apparently, the people making this crap up don't ever read the Bible, and they figure than since they don't read it, no one else does, either.

Incidentally, the above article doesn't say that the Anti-Christ will be a Muslim. Read it again. It says the Anti-Christ will merely be of Muslim descent. There's a difference.

As for the Anti-Christ being of Muslim descent, well, they kinda blew that one, too, and it's why you can't find it. I mean, considering that the Bible was a completed work around the early part of the second century, and Islam was founded in the early part of the seventh century, it's quite a stretch to find "Muslim" in the Bible. The word nor the religion didn't exist when the Bible was written.

Also, the Book of Revelation doesn't even mention the name Anti-Christ. Not once. It's mentioned in First John and Second John, and in Daniel, but not even close to the context of being THE Anti-Christ. It's mentioned in the context of those who do not believe, a.k.a., antichrists, non-believers, simple as that. The various and sundry beastly characters mentioned in Revelation, the AntiChrist label that has been given them are all a rather modern invention, first cooked up in the Middle Ages.

The Book of Revelation talks of God, Jesus Christ, John, spirits, Jezebel, a beast like a calf, a beast like a flying eagle, elders, a great red dragon and many more animals and people. But nowhere does it describe “a man, in his 40s,” as the article states. Revelation does go on and on about "he", "he", "he", though, so that part of it the article got right, he's a man, and not a woman (or some other beast hehe).

Now the bible does say his name will start with a "O", but not that he would be a muslum.

Obama's official campaign site has a page titled "Obama has never been a Muslim, and is a committed Christian." The page states, "Obama never prayed in a mosque. He has never been a Muslim, was not raised a Muslim, and is a committed Christian who attends the United Church of Christ."

Yet the accumulated research from primary sources who knew Obama from his childhood indicate that he was a devout Muslim, the son of a devout Muslim, the step-son of a devout Muslim and the grandson and namesake ("Hussein") of a devout Muslim. He was registered in school as a Muslim and demonstrated his ability to chant praise to Allah in impressive Arab-accented tones even as an adult. Just as he has not disavowed his "uncle" Jeremiah, neither has he disavowed his Muslim faith that he was born into, raised with, celebrated and never abandoned. He just covered it over with a thin veneer of his own self-styled "Christianity."

Although as an adult he would register as a Christian, and occasionally attend a Christian Church (but apparently not often enough to listen to the preaching of his pastor, or so he would claim) this was a necessary step for a man who from earliest boyhood has nurtured the precocious ambition to be President of the United States.

He was entered into the Roman Catholic, Franciscus Assisi Primary School, in Jakarta, Indonesia, on January 1, 1968, registered under the name Barry Soetoro, an Indonesian citizen whose religion was listed as Islam. Catholic schools accept non-Catholics worldwide. Non-Catholic students are typically excused from Catholic religious instruction and ceremony, but are expected to study their own faith.

In kindergarten, Senator Obama wrote an essay titled 'I Want to Become President.'"Iis Darmawan, 63, Senator Obama's kindergarten teacher, remembers him as an exceptionally tall and curly haired child who quickly picked up the local language and had sharp math skills. Three years later, in 1971, Obama enrolled in the Besuki Primary School, a government school, as Barry Soetoro, Muslim. In third grade, Senator Obama wrote an essay titled 'I Want To Be a President.' His third grade teacher: Fermina Katarina Sinaga "asked her class to write an essay titled 'My dream: What I want to be in the future.' Senator Obama wrote 'I want to be a President,' she said." All Indonesian students are required to study religion at school and a young Barry Soetoro, being a Muslim, would have been required to study Islam daily in school.

He would have been taught to read and write Arabic, to recite his prayers properly, to read and recite from the Quran and to study the laws of Islam.

In his autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," Obama mentions studying the Koran and describes the public school as "a Muslim school."

"In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Koranic studies."

According to Tine Hahiyary, one of Obama's teachers and the principal from 1971 through 1989, Barry actively took part in the Islamic religious lessons during his time at the school. "I remembered that he had studied "mengaji" (recitation of the Quran)" Tine said.

To put it quite simply, 'mengaji classes' are not something that a non practicing or so-called moderate Muslim family would ever send their child to. To put this in a Christian context, this is something above and beyond simply enrolling your child in Sunday school classes."

"The fact that Obama had attended mengaji classes is well known in Indonesia and has left many there wondering just when Obama is going to come out of the closet."

The Obama Campaign told the LA Times he wasn't a "practicing Muslim." (3/14/2007). But his official website says: "Obama Has Never Been A Muslim, And Is a Committed Christian" (11/12/2007)

That's not what his friends and classmates have said. Classmate Rony Amiris describes young Barry as enjoying playing football and marbles and of being a very devout Muslim. Amir said, "Barry was previously quite religious in Islam. We previously often asked him to the prayer room close to the house. If he was wearing a sarong, he looked funny," said Rony.

Amiris, now the manager of Bank Mandiri, Jakarta, recently said, "Barry was previously quite religious in Islam. His birth father, Barack Hussein Obama was a Muslim economist from Kenya. Before marrying Ann Dunham, Hussein Obama was married to a woman from Kenya who had seven children. All the relatives of Barry's father were very devout Muslims"

Emirsyah Satar, CEO of Garuda Indonesia, was quoted as saying, "He (Obama) was often in the prayer room wearing a 'sarong', at that time."

"He was quite religious in Islam but only after marrying Michelle, he changed his religion."
So Obama, according to his classmates and friends was a Muslim until the confluence of love and ambition caused him to adopt the cloak of Christianity: to marry Michelle and to run for President of the United States.

In "Dreams," Obama sheds light on his formative years and the political views of his mother, an anthropologist and Islamophile who hated America and subsequently "went native." (It was her mother -- Barry's "other" grandmother who cared for him in his druggie teenage years -- that he would describe as a "typical white person" who was, he said scoldingly, fearful of black men and prone to making stereotypical racial remarks.)

Obama Senior also had three sons by another woman who are all Muslim. Although Obama claims Senior was an atheist, Senior was buried as a Muslim.

Barack Obama's brother Roy opted for Islam over Christianity, as the Senator recounted in his book when describing his 1992 wedding. "The person who made me proudest of all," Obama wrote, "was Roy. Actually, now we call him Abongo, his Luo name, for two years ago he decided to reassert his African heritage. He converted to Islam, and has sworn off pork and tobacco and alcohol."Abongo "argues that the black man must "liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture." He urged his younger brother to embrace his African heritage.

In Kenya while he was a Senator, Obama stumped for his cousin, opposition leader Raila Odinga, the son of Senior's sister, a direct first cousin and nephew of Obama's father.
On August 29, 2007, Raila Odinga and Shiekh Abdullah Abdi, chairman of the National Muslim Leaders Forum of Kenya signed a Memorandum of Understanding in which it pledges the support of Kenyan Moslems for Raila's election. In return, as President of Kenya, Raila agrees ... within 6 months re-write the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Shariah as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions [and] within one year to facilitate the establishment of a Shariah court in every Kenyan divisional headquarters -- everywhere in Kenya, not just in "Muslim declared regions" -- and to popularize Islam, the only true religion ... by ordering every primary school in Kenya in the regions to conduct daily Madrassa classes.

In an interview with the New York Times, published on April 30th, Maya Soetoro-Ng, Obama's younger half sister, told the Times, "My whole family was Muslim, and most of the people I knew were Muslim."

Obama describes his new found "Christian" faith as: (1) Suspicious of dogma (2) Without any monopoly on the truth (3) Nontransferable to others (4) Infused with a big healthy dose of doubt, and (5) Indulgent of and compatible with all other religions.

On February 27th, speaking to Kristof of The New York Times, Barack Hussein Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset."

In an interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent."
The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the Shahada:

"Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet...."

According to Islamic scholars, reciting the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith, makes one a Muslim. This simple yet profound statement expresses a Muslim's complete acceptance of, and total commitment to, the message of Islam. Obama chanted it with pride and finesse.

An American Expat in Southeast Asia blog, written by an American who has lived in Indonesia for 20 years and has met with both the Taliban and al-Qaeda, contains the following:

"Barack Hussein Obama might have convinced some Americans that he is no longer a Muslim, but so far he has not convinced many in the world's most populous Muslim country who still see him as a Muslim and a crusader for Islam and world peace."

Obama wants it both ways, has always wanted it both ways. Black and white, Indonesian and American, Muslim and Christian. He loves playing one off the other, using one to hide the other even as the traces of the truth may be assembled to reveal the whole cloth of deception and self-promotion he has been weaving so skillfully since his childhood. Many have been puzzled why Obama could claim not to be familiar with Wright's rants. It turns out the Trinity Church, like many African-American churches, happily accepts believing Muslims within its congregation. And evidently many Muslims have no problems surrounding themselves with an anti-American, anti-Israel preacher who week in and week out wins the amens of his adoring congregation.

On Feb 15/08, Usama K. Dakdok, President of The Straight Way of Grace Ministry called Obama's Church and reported the following conversation: " I then asked the person who answered what I needed to do to join. She told me that I needed to attend two Sunday School classes in a row and then I would walk the aisle. I replied, "That sounds easy. One last question please. If I am Muslim and I believe in the Prophet Mohammed, peace be unto him and I also believe in Jesus, peace be unto him, do I have to give up my Islamic faith to be a member in your church? She answered: "No, we have many Muslim members in our church."

Well, I prefer to believe in the truth rather than continuing to believe in a lie, regardless of how badly I would like the lie to be true. If something might be true, but also might not be true, I see little point in actually believing one way or the other until the truth can be determined. Or at the very least, be prepared to change my beliefs based on new information. To do otherwise is to engage in fantasy, and if you try and pass it off as the truth, merely because you wish it to be true, that's known as being delusional.

While I do agree with you in that Obama is a POS, and worthless, the fact is he ain't a Muslim. Again, I'd need your own personal definition of what you think a Muslim is, though.

The article focuses on his childhood, that he was raised in Islam, so therefore he's a Muslim today. Have you ever done anything in your childhood, or believed in anything when you were a child, that you no longer do or believe in as an adult? As a child, we all are limited to our own sphere of experiences and influences and are in no position to make informed decisions about much of anything.

I was raised in the Baptist church. I was, for all intents and purposes, very devout. Does that make me a Baptist today?

Also during my youth, I also attended, for long stretches of time, Presbyterian and Methodist churches. What does that make me now?

In junior and senior high school I had many Catholic friends, and on several occasions I attended Catholic church with them. What am I now?

As an adult, I have attended, on more than one occasions, a Jewish synagogue with some Jewish friends. As an adult, mind you. A decision made as an informed adult. Does that make me a Jew, now?

The word Islam is derived from the Arabic verb Aslama, which means "to accept, to surrender, to submit". To be a Muslim means to surrender and submit to God (Allah), and Muslims must demonstrate this submission by worshiping him, following his commands.

Obama isn't a Muslim, anymore than he's a Christian. He's neither. He's an opportunist who will use both Islam and Christianity, and whatever else is out there, to his own benefit.

Well, first of all, articles of opinion aren't fact, they're articles of opinion, especially those that are written and skewed purposely for an agenda, for a specific cause. If you read an article that supports your beliefs, then it's true in your mind, and you can easily dismiss any and all articles that disagree with your beliefs as not being true, even if they are, in fact, true.

The article in question was penned by Reuven Koret, a rather well known radical Jew, essentially the flip-side of the 'Muslim male extremists between the ages of 17 and 40' coin. He's a Jewish make extremist, and most definitely has his own agenda. Not that there's anything necessarily wrong with that. The Jews certainly have the right and reason to have such a wary and suspicious agenda.

Incidentally, are you aware that his Web site is a well know malicious site, with (at last count) 56 of the 186 pages on the site forcing downloads and installs of malicious scripting exploits, with the scripts being hosted on his site, as well as his hosting domains of ppexe.com and douhuqn.cn? Most installations of Firefox (assuming the correct security options are checked) won't even display the page at all (MSIE, on the other hand, will let you go there and be scripted to Koret's amusement).

Well, let's see. There is no evidence that he's a Muslim, other than what people believe, and there are many articles out there that say he isn't a Muslim, and even you will admit that Obama himself has said he isn't a Muslim with his own words. Yet, you say he's lying and that he is a Muslim. Just out of curiosity, what color is a STOP sign?

Get over it. Too funny. Yes, the Crusades is old news. And I agree, the Pope praying for German troops was truly a horrific event. Oh, the humanity. And remember in the Crusades when the Christians went around bombing all those abortion clinics and assassinating the doctors and nurses who worked there? I'm glad that doesn't happen anymore.

But the garbage muslums are doing it today and have been since 632 when after 630 which was 2 yrs before Muhammad death that he set up a "protection tax" and set about withe the islamic crusades, and islam and the scum sucking muslums have been at it since without letting up.

I'm sorry, but the Crusades is old news, yet the year 632 is somehow current events? Muslims, Jews and Christians have been at it for a long time, and it still continues today. Muslims have no monopoly on being garbage.

Muslims believe that everything that happens in the world, good or evil, is preordained by God, that God has complete knowledge and control of everything that happens. Muslims account for Free Will as people have the free will to choose good or evil and are thus responsible for their own actions. But, of course, if you do something bad, like, say, blow up a building and kill thousands of innocent people, well, that's not you doing evil, that's a predestination of God, 'cause he already knew it was gonna happen, and you are merely fulfilling what was already preordained. You are literally on a mission from God. How scary is that? Then again, like I said, Muslims aren't the only ones to do bad things in the name of God. That happens all the time. Being able to justify pretty much anything you want to do as "God told me to do it" is a pretty scary thing all the way around.

Make no mistake, I have no love lost for Islam or for Muslims. The Crusades, the First Crusade (1096) in particular, were invented in the first place in order to conquer Jerusalem and the Holy Land, and in the process free the resident western christians from Islamic rule. But if you take a close look at the history of Islam, of the Crusades, and of Christianity, you'll see that both Christianity and Islam have historically both been spread in the same manner, and both continue in the same manner today. The only differences are within the different denominations, both within Christianity and within Islam. Some denominations get along and play well with others, some denominations, not so much.

Now, having said all that, if you truly believe that Obama is a Muslim, then consider this. Muslims believe that all people, each and every person, are born Muslim. They are Muslim at birth, and then are converted to some other religion by their parents. But once a Muslim always a Muslim, and they only have to be brought back from the brainwashing to their senses. In that context, yeah, Obama is a Muslim. Then again, so are you.

Pick a religion. Doesn't matter which one, it works for all of them...

Bravo, Turtle. Though I've never seen the quote, it is a succinct expression of my beliefs.
Whether Christian, Muslim, or Jew, religion inspires fanaticism in certain unstable (malleable?) minds, and fanaticism is a danger to everyone.

And it appears that it explains you to a "T" as well. For, not all Muslims are fanatics, nor are all Christians, nor all Jews, yet some of them most definitely are. You've just lumped all Muslims into the fanatical category with the above statement, and that's fanatical, not to mention reckless. The "card carrying muslum" statement means something else entirely, even more disturbing. You're coming off not as merely a fanatic, but a stone-cold nut.

OK, you state that he's not only a Muslim, but a card carrying Muslim. Prove it. Don't tell me what you believe, show me what you can prove.

Even the article that you posted, the one that made a valiant effort to prove that (a) he was a Muslim as a child and therefore (b) he is now, failed miserably, pathetically, at even proving that he was a Muslim as a child. Countless times the author made leaps from "what would have happened" in certain situations when Obama was a child, to the confident assumption and ascertion that what would have happened (in the Middle East) actually did happen (in Indonesia), all without any evidence whatsoever. It was actually laughable. I wanted to read what did happen, rather than what would or should have happened. But it wasn't there. Same as I want to read your proof that he's a Muslim, rather than what you believe. I mean, hey, if you can prove he's a Muslim, card-carrying or not, you will single-handedly make an impact on this election that will forever alter the landscape of US and world politics. It'll be huge.
