ive seen alot of these chips on e-bay saying ad 20 MPG and more horse power! any truth to it?
has anyone tried these chips that add mpg and horse power?

If you are talking about t he chips you put in the fuel tank,I've got some beach front property in Az I'd like to sell you.If your talking of putting a different chip in the computer,thats a little different,but what that will do,is change the shift points of an automatic tranny,and change the fuel air ratio,this can raise hp,but will take away fuel mileage.
You want to save fuel,just drive like you have an egg under your gas pedal.
In a class 8 truck,if the ecm is changed so you have a HP increase,you can save fuel,as long as you don't use the extra HP,but as soon as you hit that big hill,and want to show off your power,look for a serious fuel mileage drop.
The crazy things that are sold at truck stops,just show,that a truck driver will buy anything,from deer whistles to pills for the fuel tank to get better mileage and HP

Leo is the only one that have ever heard of that gets anywhere near 20 mpg in one of these CV's.
The best thing you can do to help improve your mileage is to watch your driving habits (mine are garbage)... from a mechanical standpoint, get rid of the factory exhaust and add a good low restriction hih flow rate system and also d whatever you can to get more air into the motor, the intake box that houses the air filter is not the best at letting a good amount of air into the motor. That will help, but t really take advantage of those changes, depending on the year and motor in yor van, after you have made the changes, have the Engine Management Computer "Flashed" to allow for the changes...
Now even with that stuff, i doubt that you will see 20 mpg's... If Leo did that stuff, he would probably see 25...but i don't know anyone that drives as Leo as described....
