The title of this thread is Happy National Cheeseburger Day. I don't see any cheese on that burger. Here's a real cheeseburger, but the cheese is hidden inside the beef. You don't see the cheese until you bite into the burger and molten cheese runs down your chin, burning it, your lips, tongue and any other body part it comes in contact with.

I remember having a blue cheeseburger at a deli in New Hampshire that had melted blue cheese dripping from the burger. It was to die for and I still make them that way at home!

mustard, mayo, lettuce, tomato, bacon, taking the cheese as a given from the thread title.

One place, Jim's has a sign on the wall... This is not Wendy's, you're have it my way or no way.
Some chefs are just really full of themselves. I want to eat my food exactly the way I like it. When I serve food to people I want them to like it. I might ask them to at least take a bite before they smother it with Sriracha or ketchup, if I've got some subtle flavor profile going on that I'd like them to experience that would otherwise be overwhelmed with some routine addictive condiment addition, but after that, they can do with their food as they please. In the commercial restaurant realm, it's already difficult enough to make a profit, so why alienate potential customers?

Not to nit pic or anything, but the op asked about toppings on my burger.

Also he said on my burger, not in my burger.

...but the cheese is hidden inside the beef.
