Fox News host Sean Hannity admitted tonight that his staff spliced video from a Capitol Hill protest last week with footage from an earlier, much larger protest over the summer—and apologized to Comedy Central’s Daily Show and host Jon Stewart, who brought the creative editing to light. “We screwed up,” Hannity said at the tail end of tonight’s broadcast.

“It was an inadvertent mistake, but a mistake nonetheless,” Hannity said. “So Mr. Stewart, you were right, we apologize … but by the way, I want to thank you, and all your writers, for watching.”

Although I'm by no means a Jon Stewart fan, but if he honestly catches Hannity doing this kind of video hanky-panky then Hannity deserves the ridicule. "Inadvertant mistake"? Yeah, right - I'll bet some staffer is working on his resume right now.

Resume? Why would he be putting his resume together? You really think anyone that watches this stuff actually takes it as credible journalism? Wait, wait, wait.....you do take this as serious journalism, holy crap! That explains a lot then.

In spite of these guys being entertainers (which was established in the earlier thread), you think Hannity enjoys suffering this kind of embarassment because of some staffer's mistake ? How clueless are you anyway? The post I put up conceded that Hannity screwed up and deserved the consequences, and yet you try to spin it into some totally unrelated conclusion. You would do better to stick with the type of journalism seen on the Comedy Channel.
