Handling requirements for pharmaceutical expedite

Hi,

Do any owner/operators know the truck/handling requirements to do expedite for pharmaceutical firms? Are the trucks usually refrigerated? Need to be specially licensed in some way?

Most drug loads travle at a range of +36F to +41F. To get the best payback on your investment you would do best to be T-Val. Usually the unit needs to be able to pull down to -22F and go up to +80F.Hope this helps.

actually a-team the leader in the that market is fed ex global supply chain services,inc they are 100% dedicated to the pharmaceutical network with crossdocks all over the us and direct pickup from major companies via straight truck and tractors.the driver needs no special license besides haz-mat from time to time but the typical temp range of 36-46f is the standard they recently have added the requirement of a smart reefer to be trailer-trac compatible no t-val b/s at this company..

There is quite alot of pharma trucking that is not T-Val in any way. There are certain drugs that must remain at a specific temperature. Still for many of these, only a temp controlled package is necessary.
