H/W Team Question

Was wandering how you teams log?? I've been driving TT solo and wife and I are looking into getting in a straight truck.Was just wandering if you split log or what??

My two h/w teams split the day into 12 hour segments and whatever happens in that segment is that persons no matter which line they are on. One does 12/12 and the other does 2/2. Sometimes that means one may only do an hour or two out of a 14 hour job, depending on what time of day it starts.

We have also found the 12 hours shifts work well for us and we split the shift from 2 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon.

We don't have set shifts. We split the driving, hubby usually opens doors, I usually back into the dock, either one of us takes care of paperwork at the shipper/receiver, I take care of the paperwork for the run. etc. We just swap back and forth, if I ended driving he starts the next shift, and so on. Sometimes, it's harder to do it this way with the new HOS, but it's what we are used to doing.
I guess this shows that all teams have their own way of doing things.

My husband and I do the 12/12 split also it seems to make logging easier and to get a sleep schedule on a more regular basis. We do 5 to 5. I drive 5am to 5pm and he does the other.

not H/W but we do what ever it takes to be legal,as neither of us can stay in sleeper 12 hours,or even sleep 10 hours at one time
