I noticed that before the TV show American Idol came on, there was 32 members on. During the show, between 5 and 10 counting guests. Now after the show I count 40.
Is it safe to say that others have aquired this addiction as the wife and I have?

Gawd Yes!! LOL!!

I can go on all day about that show. Last year I thought Anwar was the best, though he didn't win. This year I think Mandisa is the best up to this point. I think Simon has the hots for Kellie, just like every other guy in this country.

This week I think Will is gone for the guys & Kinnika is gone for the gals. Not that I think Kinnika should be gone, just that she prolly will be. As for who else is gone, I'm not sure. I thought in the beginning of the final 24, that Paris was the best one but Kellie would get the "drool vote". This past week though, Kellie was actually pretty good. I think Paris is very good, as is Lisa & also Taylor, Gedion, Chris & Bucky are the best of the guys. I feel Mandisa is the best of em all so far though. We'll see how it all plays out. All good performances in my opinion this week (both guys & gals) except for Will & Ace. Though I know Ace is going to get a lot of votes, he's a lil to much of a balladeer (if that's word) for my liking. I can handle it w/ Kevin cuz he comes off as this nice kid, but I can only stomach so much of grown men singing ballads.

I got into American Idol when I was flipping channels during last years NHL lockout. This year, I've seen less than 2 hours of Red Wing hockey. If the Red Wings make it to the finals & it goes head to head w/ American Idol, & I can only record one of em, it's gonna be AI.

Take care & fun subject,
Danny

Oh, one more thing (I told ya I could go on about this forever) is that I feel bad for Kinnika. 2 weeks ago she was told to liven it up & she did, then the judges pan on her. I thought she was excellent last week & not to bad this week. Also, I'd like to see some consistancy in Simon;s critisism. When Paris does a song, he says it's "too old" for her. Today Kevin does a young song & it's "too young". I realize he's there to stir things up, but it might help the contestants if he was a little more consistant.

ok, b4 this becomes a book.. Bon Voyage

Criminal Minds then Law and Order. Only way I'd watch idol is if I knew somebody on it and then only taped so I could fast forward the rest. No Survivor or Batchelor/ette or other reality shows either.

Another guilty watcher. But I couldn't finish tonight cause somebody had the nerve to call me and offer me a load. geesh.

I don't have to watch it. My ex-co-driver keeps me informed and my sister in Bradenton, FL likes to call and give me the results. I also DVR it at home in case I ever find Texas again.

I feel the same way about "24". I hate to miss that show. I like to listen to Glenn Beck on Tuesday because he always talks about the show.

Public television in San Francissco was running 'Don't Look Back",the Dylan documentry, last night.Compared to the bright lights and super hype(too many comercials)of Idol(not to mention the limited entertainment value),Dylan ,at 20 years old, remains the best America had,and has,to offer for many decades to come.He can't be touched.
I must admit, however,I'm semi addicted along with the rest.

I will definately agree w/ ya on there's to many commercials. My DVD recorder allows ya to automatically FF 3 minutes & quite often there's still another commercial or 2 I need to FF thru. What I do to get around that is the obvious. I record the show. Even if I'm here at 8PM, I'll record it & watch it later.

Happy Viewing,
Danny

Guys, guys, c'mon! Are you serious? Maybe some testosterone therapy is in order here. Football withdrawl, that must be it.

LOL!! That's in part exactly it. When college football ends there's definately some kind of void. I used to watch more hockey during that time. During the lockout I got into AI & hockey's now on the back burner. Btw/ I'm not jumpin off the bandwagon cuz the Red Wings stink. They're doing pretty well. I just don't care for the game as much.

Take care,
Danny

Hey I've got a great idea. All you guys turn down loads to watch AI, I'll takem and sing all the way to the bank.

I don't recall anyone on this thread sayin they'd turn down a run to watch AI. Not exactly sure how your comment fits in w/ this thread, but it's nice to know that while some of us are outside the truck, the 2nd team is willing to come in & take some runs.

Thanx for your idea,
Danny

Danny, I think you read my comments and misunderstood, HOW I was saying them. I wasn't being sarcastic, they were being made in jest. It ALMOST sounded like some would rather watch AI than take a load.(ALMOST). After rereading my comments I can see how they may have been taken the wrong way. By the way my comments were based on watching AI, which I thought was what the thread was about. Oh yeah I may be 2nd class, but I'm not 2nd string. (another jest).

Heya & no problem,

I did read it as if ya were taking a crack at us. Sometimes things don't always come out in type like ya mean it & for that, my bad. I owe ya an apology here in that case. Cuz yes, I did take it as ya were making a jab & not as if ya were making a joke.

Take care,
Danny

Ok....I thought Bo Bice was the best out of their singers. Outcome on the guys was alittle surprising. I expected the Brady bunch guy was history but not the black James Taylor guy.

Oh yeh.......love that show 24 as well.
