Wonderful NEWS!! My son, Joe, is back from Afghanistan alive and well!!! His tour was cut short, he was not due back until June but no one is upset about it!!! He is back at Ft. Lewis, WA and will be in the States for a least a year!!
Thanks much my friend. I promise you this old man is proud of his "lifer" son!!! This was his second combat tour. I take GREAT pride when he deploys but THANK GOD to no end when he comes home alive and in one piece.
I pray to God that ALL our sons and daughters come home soon. I also pray that when they do that we are SAFE here in the United States of America!! We owe our lives and freedoms to these brave young men and women!!
That is great that your son is home safe. I had 2 sons in the Marines. They were in Irag back to back. It was a great relief when they came home safe. I have a grandson who was named after 2 friends my son lost while he was over there. Looking at him makes us always remember how lucky we were to get our boys back. Tell your son THANKS for his service to his country.
Thank you!! I know how hard that loss was. I am SO thankful that I did not have to face that. This was his second deployment. I am so proud, so happy that he is home ok and relieved that the DOT is NOT looking at family members in combat zones in relation to sleep loss!! I could NEVER keep a CDL if they took THAT into account!!
Layout, our son was Army, I know exactly how you feel! When our son came home from Iraq I finally felt like I could breathe. Tell him THANK YOU for his service!!
Thank you for sharing the news , layoutshooter . We owe a lot of respect and gratitude to those who serve . It's good to hear when some have returned safely home .
