thanks terry, good info, really helped, also have you ever heard of a airconditioner with a built in heater, do you think it would be a good idea to put it in the window of the side doors on a cargo van to get heat and a/c, and hook it up to a honda generator?
Lots of folks do that, but they stick the a/c out the rear door; some have the roof units. I don't know a link off-hand but try a search with air conditioner as the keywords.
>I"m looking to buy a magellan 700 can anyone tell me how it
>has been working for them out on the road and does it loose
>reception alot?
We have bought 2 Magellan 700s. The little pin inside the cord broke off the first one. Couldn't be without our Magellan while waiting for a new piece, so we went to Sam's and purchased a second one. Now we have back-up. Don't even want to be on the road without it.
We do try to match directions from our company to our Magellan. I check for low clearances. He gets his left and right mixed up at the del. once in awhile. Ours has lost reception, but if ya give it time to sit and recalculate, it comes back on. Saves alot of time looking for places to eat or park. We would definitely buy a trucker's version if they came out with it. Hope this helped.
