Oh how it sounds like they are resurrecting Stalin to fight global warming.
Today Gore said we need a moon shot plan to fix global warming. "I challenge our nation to commit to producing 100 percent of our electricity from renewable energy and truly clean carbon-free sources within 10 years," Gore, the VP from ’92 to 2000 where he did nothing to fight anything, said. Putting the emphasis on the need to move off of Dino fuel and use solar/wind before it is too late.

I am sorry all you global warming people, the country has to stop to do this. It is not a matter of being a good steward of the earth or anything like that but rather a matter of survival at this point. The government needs to move us off the progressively punitive tax system to something that will reward people for work they do. Until then we have to drive our cars to we have to buy our food at the super markets and we must all go to work.

HEY!!! How about a polution tax on politions? You know, all the hot air might be what is causing Global Warming. Let us not forget all the BS they are spreading around. It is causing a lot of water polution. Causing algea blooms. How does a 100% usless tax? Another way to curb global warming. Seat all of the congressmen and senators in the capitol building and tie them to thier seats. Then flood the place so the are just about neck deep in water. The steam cloud caused when all that water hit all that hot air could power the nation for 10 years. The only chance of polution would be if some of thier slime some how got into the Potomac River. Well Dingel has been in office 50 something years, that is 25 elections and with his father who died in office that is over 75 years of the same family in the same seat. So you can't tell me that there is no one better to fill that position?

I think that anyone who runs on the platform of the Fair Tax will get into that seat, his district really needs help.

Levin, I get to see him soon and I will tell him again that his time should end before this election. I wish some would take the recall of him seriously but alas if I won the lottery, that would be my concern - recalling him, not defeating him but recalling him.

Greg, the problem here is the UAW, Teamsters, USW etc etc etc. They have a strangle hold on our local politics. Every time a new Democrat tried to take the seat they were even further left than he is. WAY further left. At least John believes that the Second Amendment really means we can own guns. The last Jack was from Ann Arbor, a Woooooman too. Imagine a woman democrat from Ann Arbor. I cannot remember a real Republican that has had a chance to win that seat. They never really try. Well that is all true, it is like some parts of Kentucky they are so conservative that it is scary but they won't hesitate to vote democrat regardless who is running because their union will tell them the dems will help them.

What I think is getting to me is hearing and talking to people who are liberal in every meaning of the word but can't vote for Obama and don't buy into the ALGORE bs. One in particular I talked to today as she is preparing for a presentation on the economy and she came up with some scary scenarios unless we change who we have in office. Her thoughts are McCain will have to lead us to a real leader, not a "false prophet" like Obama. She is not stupid, she sees the writting on the wall and can put it in easy to understand terms, She simplified the problems in her presentation and gave some serious solutions that we can all live by but it all involves hard work on the part of congress. She said unless something it done we will see a lot of negitive changes in the country and there is nothing that the common man/woman will do about it. Say goodbye to the middle class, it will become the new lower indentured social class with the politicians being the ruling bureaucratic stratum.

maybe its just me, but i seem to remember a group of guys who study the sun who recently
said its a natural cycle. this warming and cooling is natural, normal, and not greatly effected by what we do. i seem to recall something about multiple ice ages... ...
these guys might be on to something. its the money. not prone to gambling normally i bet if no money was involved the problem would disappear.
