We were traveling across Idaho a week ago, got called into a scale, the guy at the scale informed me that I had a tail light out. No ticket, no warning, just told me to stop at the Love's at exit 211 off I-84 to fix it. We drove there and of course is was not just a bulb. It was late at night, dark, and I could not find the broken wire to save my life.

I checked and found a Kenworth dealer/repair shop in town. We called, they said bring it right in.

They fooled around and found the broken wire in the harness. They did not have the parts so the "rebuilt" the harness. They put about 35 minutes into the job. Works perfect.

The charge for this repair? NOTHING!!! NO CHARGE!! They said that I will come back if I need any real work done.

That's very smart on their part. For a half hour and maybe a dollar's worth of wire they get tons of good will exposure and potential future business. In my van I'm running synthetic oil. At 5k, instead of a full oil/filter change I get a filter and top off. I went to my local Jiffy Lube for it. I expected to pay about 20 bucks or so. They charged me zero. I asked if I didn't owe for the filter anyway. Nope. Zero. You can guess where I'll be going for my paid full service changes whenever possible.
