Wow that's fusion Asian cuisine! Looks good.

Well if you are ever in Ann Arbor Michigan area, and have a van, there is real Thai restaurant next to the downtown market, Siam Cuisine. It is a family owned place and very very good food, the service can be a bit challenging but that is because of the language barrier. It is not like most of the other Thai place, Chinese or other Asians cooking there, but the people make great real Thai food. Parking does cost a little seeing it is Ann Arbor and I can't remember if there is a place for a truck anywhere so a van is a good thing to have.

Also in Ann Arbor, there is another place for great Chinese, Lucky Kitchen, it really is great Chinese food. It is on Plymouth West of the EPA's vehicle testing lab, a little difficult to find because it is in a strip mall. I can order carry out there like a dinner combo and have food for two days, all for $7. Top rate food and no cats are used. Oh and the containers that they give you are really great for packing lunches.

I don't think that they have the light show anymore, they have some lights on the farm.

Since Monohan gave the farm away, they made a lot of changes to the place.

alright mr michigan greg, help me out here. many years ago we were in town and we ate at the mongolian wok. you basically chose the ingredients and it was fresh cooked to your desire. return trips encouragesd. what was specifically special is that my wife is alergic to shrooms(gets the spiders crawling under the skin feeling) and the chefs there cleaned a section to get rid of shroom residue. she ate and was fine.
two chopsticks up mongolian wok.

Most likely it was bd's Mongolian BBQ, there are several locations around here and I think the guy has one or two in Denver and in other states. I liked the place until the changed a few things on what you could put in to the bowl - yak and water buffalo were off the menu, but they added whale and porpoise. I enjoyed yak a lot. They are always concern with allergies, and used to have some really great cooks who could put on a show.

Just as a side note, I used to go to a real Mongolian place in Livonia until they closed, these guys made dishes a lot different but they were authentic. The owner who looked like he just got here from Mongolia said that the BBQ places are not what it is like to cook on the steppes.

I was gonna say something really rude, but since the carriers apparently frequent the views around here, I'll be polite, and just say, 'how do ya know'????
:D

Oh.... come on.... don't you know that every place that has a new Chinese place that opens there is a drop in the cat population? :p

No.... really.... it is an ongoing joke between my father and wife. We have three cats and my wife hates anyone saying that, so I tease her about it like my father does. :D

That place makes really great food by the way.
