Too many Variables involved to give an answer . A lot depends on which company you are with . Are you in a van , or a staight truck ?

I have been taking calls from home during the past few months. Since it has been slow, strategically it works out for me.

I have been taking shorties and may be 1 or 2 regional runs 2-3 times a month.

At current time, I'm not sure my chance would be better if I'm at the boondock parking lot somewhere. I figured I can use the sitting time to do something productive around the house.

And...just about ready to do the front yard makeover, a call for a shorty, Lol.

Hang in there:)

You should keep track of ever place you pick up at and deliver at and after awhile you see where to sit
If you have lap top and mapping program you should be able to keep track of it
As someone all depends on company you driver for

Unless you have strong will power and self control the no fly list should probably include any casinos.

Simple answer is there's no bad place anywhere. I have gotten everyone out somehow, someway. Yes there are places that definitely have more frequency than others. It comes down to being in the right place at the right time, right broker to give your bid to, and right price.

There used to be a plant called Harmon Automotive in Washington MO where we would all get loads out of ST. Louis from, but that was before they closed down. I don't know what all else is down there these days except maybe some rail yard freight. I would make a move over to Chicago if I was you. That would be a sure fire way to get loaded up,

Actually yes I have personally delivered mirrors to suburu and I do have options all over Northwest Indiana, but 90% of the time I load my drivers to lafayette it's the run to get them home. You see my business is in hobart about 90 minutes out.
