wondering if anybody ever changed out their 22.5 tires and wheels for 24.5 I worked with a coach leasing company that did that on all their prevost coaches to get better fuel mileage

I've never done it, but those that are supposed to know actually claim just the opposite to be true. Michelin builds a very good tire for maximum fuel mileage. They don't offer it in 24.5, which says alot IMO.

There are many things you can do to improve fuel mileage. The same money that you would spend on the tire and wheel conversion could be spent in other areas that are proven to improve your mileage.

That is correct, you don't go from smaller to bigger to get better fuel mileage. The coach co. Probably did it for ground clearance issues. More rolling resistance on a bigger tire. Stay with the 22.5 and get a low rolling resistance. The tire spoke of is the xza 3 plus. It's # is 90 I think.
