there are a few scheduled plant closures from last year. Yes...complete closure. Some plants are obsolete as the makers trim the number of models available.

There's 2200 "union" workers out of a job now, Guess they'll have to live like the rest of us po-foke........
Guess they should of thought of that when they were getting those huge union contracts, lining their own pockets. Not giving a d**n about those of us who can't afford their union products anymore.

Back in '85 I bought a new T-Bird (last ford I'll own btw) off the show room floor. I paid more for that car than my parents did for their 14 room house!!
We are barraged with all the ads...."Buy union products, support America"......seems like it should say "buy union products, support the union so our members can live high off the hog"

I remember one time delivering at a GM plant in Michigan. I pull up to the building and go inside to see what door they wanted me in. The guy very sarcastically tells me "it's your truck, pick one yourself". I go back out and back up to a door. Walk back inside and tell the guy what # I was at. I sat and sat and sat in the drivers section figuring the forklift driver was going to unload me. The guy in the office had radioed out to the forklift driver what door I was at. He pulls up in front of the door I'm at and just sits there, looks at me, doesn't say a word. Then pulls out a book and starts reading. Was probably there an hour. Finally another expedite driver comes up and tells me I have to walk over to the door and remove the plastic safety chain and roll up the door myself before the forklift operator will unload me. It wasn't "his" job to remove the chain and open doors. His "job" was to operate the forklift...Give me a break!!!!!
Delivered recently to a GM plant in Lockport, NY. A supposed 'hot load' needed there right away. PIcked up in So. Illinois, drove overnight to Lockport. Beat my *** down the road, delivered 45 minutes late.. Wasn't my fault for being late, had some problems at the shippers. Anyhoo, when I deliver at 6 a.m. I ask the guy at the dock if they had to shut the line down because I was 45 minutes late with the fasteners. He said no, the line had already been shut down at 4 a.m. Whoever was in charge of making sure they had enough stock to run the line for the schedules amt. of time had neglected to order some other parts and they had to wait for them. They were paying $130,000 to expedite them there by plane!

Nope, I don't feel sorry for any of them!!!!

IF I'm looking for a job I won't put an application into any place that's union.....they've never done anything for me except take money out of my paycheck.........
Back in 86 I had some major surgery. Was off work for about 3 months. When I got the doctor's release to go back to work I had a temporary restraint on how much I could lift. Told my boss and he said he couldn't use me until the restriction was lifted. Really there wasn't any lifting to my job. I drove dump truck and snow plow for the township. He never would take me back. come to find out, he'd hired one of his buddies to replace me. I went to the union and what did they do?? NOTHING! But they had their hand out every payday for their union dues!

Again, No thanks, Ya'll can keep your unions.
