Snow removal laws. D.O.T. inspections. Tickets for chicken lights being out. ETC ETC ETC We all know that the government, both state and federal, sort of "Pick" on commercial trucks.

What is BAD is that they see not to give a rat's patootee about private cars/trucks etc. Want to see some proof? Look at the pics below. Those straps were being used to hold the roof on this camper. And they have the GAUL to right some of the tickets that they dump on us. Enjoy the pics!!!

Where were these pictures taken? Can you say Beverly Hillbillies?
I agree this shouldn't be allowed to be on the road

They were taken today in a Wally World parking lot just a bit north of Louisville, KY. I am sorry to say that the mess had Michigan plates. Makes me ashamed to be from there. :(

The remark was about the "Beverly Hillbillies" not REAL Hillbillies. LOL!! No REAL hillbillies would be caught dead in that rig!! The pictures don't do it justice, it was FAR worse in person!!

Could be, that mess could have used at least 3 roles!! I have not seen a rig this bad for a really long time. The tire where shot too. The left front axle of that "van" was broken and leaning out from the bottom. I cannot even imagine towing that thing, it could not track very well.

Isn't that a "B" unit behind the...whatever? Can't tell if it is set up to push or is it being towed. It looks like the result of someone that wouldn't say no to cheap freight. As far as the Michigan Tags, don't be ashamed...they were stolen.

I bet if you looked at the lic plate it would show it to be an Mexico special you see them all the time vehicles that have no business being on the road but because they are going to Mexico the cops don't care

I think the next time I get "gigged" on a D.O.T. for something silly like a "chicken Light" being out I will pull these pics out and ask the officer why he is picking on my when things like this are on the road all the time. LOL!! No, I know they have no jurisdiction over private vehicals and I know if I did pull them out they would REALLY get on me, but, don't it just fry you to see this kind stuff on the roads? Can you imagine if you had a wreck with this? Think they are the kind to NOT have insurance, or worse yet, the kind that carries around the business cards of 73 lawyers?

LOL. It looks like someone is living large on their "social security check!" Perhaps these people failed to plan for their retirement and are traveling the country "ghetto style!" You can't blame them for trying to be outgoing RV types. Lets just hope they have adequate insurance and a working parking break so their house doesn't roll of the grand canyon!

I could not get a clear picture of the cardboard sign in the rear window of that thing. It read: "Slumin RV" They sure got that right. An accident waiting to happen.

Nah, what happened is the Republican's closed down the ghetto housing in Los Angeles County and the Democrats just put wheels on the individual units in order to shuffle them sround from County to County so that they can avoid being condemned!

LOL!! That may be close to the truth. It would, in this case at least, be an all Dumb-O-Crat action since the "RV" had Michigan plates and Michign is owned and operated by the Dumb-O-Crats!!! :p

I see crap like this every time I am down south for vacation, and it is basically crap that will still roll, headed to Mexico, usually a bunch of it in groups. How that kind of crap is allowed to be on the road is beyond me.

One good thing the OPP does up here (ya, they do a FEW good things) is they have blitzes on the long weekends and target RV's ,trailers etc. Not nearly enough but at least they do it a bit. That is when they aren't enforcing the ........oh never mind.

I can just hear you grumbling when you saw this Joe!!!

What's so bad with this?

It passes Michigan's requirements to be on the road.

It has both mirrors

The lights look like they are there

The tow bar is not fastened with bungee cords

And the tires are not flat

So it is better than the 2006 Cadillac that I saw today - that one was missing both mirrors, it was rear ended, had garbage bags for a rear window and one of the door windows and the driver's door was held closed with two bungee cords (it was sprung with a three inch gap.

Some times you will see Lincolns that have lost their air bags and are dragging so bad that the sparks light up the street while other times you know that the person made the mistake of not opening up the gate wide enough to pull out of the driveway and ripped both mirrors off the car - we do have the honor of having the number one sales position in the world for replacement mirrors and the number one position for thefts of mirrors in the suburbs.

Ah Michigan, where I got used to seeing pickup trucks so rusted out that the rear end of the sides of the bed was dragging on the ground and what remained of the bed would shed some rust when the truck hit a pot hole. These pickups were always the best example of why to rust proof the truck when you bought it, with the cab mounts rusting through and the cab bouncing up and down while driving on our wonderful smooth roads.

Ah Michigan what can I say......

Layout, in many states, and I would suspect most, DOT officers are State Police that can pull over anyone.
