Gift of Christmas

Many years ago our own Jack and Gracie Berry needed some uplifting at Christmas and this group came through for them.

Trucker Charity raises money through donations and also what they sell in the Christmas Store. What is in the store has been donated and all funds go to make someone who is in need a special Christmas. Only drivers are available for the funds and I know what it was like when Gracie and Jack got the call that they would be getting an unexpected gift.

During the month of November many things will be donated and sold so keep an eye out in the store for something you might want. If you have something to donate there is information on how to do this. If you know of someone in need there is an application to fill out and then they will perform a check to verify the family.

For those of you that remember Jack you can imagine how much this meant to them in such a sad situation.

The gift of cash that drivers families receive at Christmas are from donations and the sale of items in the Christmas Shop. The more that is donated or money raised the more families that will be helped. Still to this day I remember the sound of Jack and Gracies tears when they were told about the gift of money they were about to receive. It was not that much I believe a little over $500 dollars it was that they knew people cared about them. There were about ten families that got the call from TCGO all with the same emotional reaction.
