First I want to thank the many who have posted in these forums to help newbies like myself get into this business. I currently drive a flatbed straight truck throughout New England. I already work 50 - 60 hrs a week. I am kind of tied of assisting this company I work for in becoming wealthier off my production. I am looking to drive a used straight truck that has been overhauled (2004 international with 500,000 miles $55,000). I will definitely apply some of the knowledge given here. I am analyzing the numbers, I only hope that I do not get analysis paralysis (ooida.com). I did noticed that many say to drive first with a company then save for a nest egg of three months. Some say get additional work to get the funds. I am fortunate to have a family at home and with the hours I am putting in I do not see an additional job to assist in the savings theme.
