Canada Getting into Canada again

For the past 2 years I have been crossing the border at the bridge in Detroit. Going from Atlanta to 4 places in Ontario ,Cambridge,Brampton,North York and Concord to deliver exaust parts to the stamping companies there to keep the people that work there busy. Last week I was on my way to Brampton and was stopped on the Canadian side and searched and made to go to immagration. Of course they did a back ground check on me and NOW Im inadmissable to Canada. Yes, I do have a bad background and yes I have paid for my crimes. I was a rebelious kid when I did all this. I am not doing anything like that now and am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction to get the Canadian Government to let me cross the border again to make these deliveries? What steps do I need to take to get the ball rolling so I can enter Canada again? I am tired of staying at the Detroiter while my partner goes and drops the load. Although the Detoriter is a very nice place and its not really a pain , but it is a pain because I have to have another driver with me to deliver the load. Can anyone of you all help me? Thank You!

I don't have the specific information you need however there have been several threads discussing how to get absolution or whatever the proper term is. If you go through the Canadian expediter section of the forum and read the threads I think you'll find what you need. I'm sure others will also respond and add information to help you. Good luck to you.

Did you ASK Canada Customs on the procedure to get in?

OR...you could contact the local MP (member of Parliment) in Windsor, thats like a congressperson. they are listed in the phone book or online on Canada's website.

I went through the same thing @ Fort Erie crossing.
first thing to do is contact the court where you were at. Ask them for a certified copy of disposition. This is costing me $11.00 for a copy. As long as the paper work shows that the case (s) were closed (dropped in my case) you should be able to take that to immigration and clear the matter up.

I talked to a lawyer in Michigan where my case was and he told me it would be flat fee of $800.00 for him to handle the matter and get it cleared up.

Ya got to love the court system, as they will not show the disposition of the cases afterwards, just show the charges.

Jr, it looks like his situation is different from yours. If you have no convictions you don't need a pardon.
