Generator oil changes

For those that do their own oil/filter changes on the generator we discovered that the puppy training pads work excellent in catching those drips that sometimes escape while changing the oil. They are cheap, disposable and work for other things in the truck too.
We just did the service on our generator over the weekend and not a drop of oil on the ground.

Never thought of puppy training pads before, but you still have to buy them. Large pieces of cardboard are easily found behind most truck stop buildings. I carry a couple of those in the truck to use when changing generator oil. They make kneeling on the pavement easier. Oil drips on them are wiped off with a paper towel and the cardboard is stored in the truck for its next use.

This cheats Al Gore out of some recycled cardboard but saves me the cost of puppy training pads.
