Fun weekend planned

Got a load out of NJ to UT and really enjoyed the sights across I-80. Along the way I had sun, rain, tornado, lighting, hail and snow. Relaxing in Salt Lake City with a full schedule lined up for the weekend parked at TA outside Salt Lake with the mountain literally in my backyard and the Salt Lake in front yard what a beautiful spot. Plan to see Salt Lake Bees minor league team play then over to several ghost towns in the area and cruise a few mountain roads to boot plus visit whatever interests me along the way. Transportation is my 1982 Yamaha XT 550 I happen to have an extra helmet so if anybody is in the area let me know.
Life is good.

John I am with you (in spirit)
South of SLC you can watch hangliders doing their thing off the shelf and I would love to be there with camera in hand...

Great putt for a bike is the road up to Mt. Timpanogos from I-15 over to Provo Canyon road. I used to live in Provo amd loved racing my cafe racer Honda 550 through that canyon. Timpanogos cave state park is on that road as well on the west side and on the east side is Sundance resort owned of course, by Mr. Redford. Great restaurant and you used to be able to rent horses there as well. You would swear you were in the Swiss alps looking up at those mountains, and the sunlight reflecting off the leaves of the alder and birch as you cruise under them is fantastic. The turnoff is in American Fork or Lehi if I remember right, just south of where the hangliders do their thang. Incidentally, where the hang gliders fly- Widowmaker, the famous motorcycle hill climb site made famous in the movie "On Any Sunday".

Had a great time on the bike but no canyon racing getting too old for that sort of fun.

Missed the hang gliding will look into it next trip.

Will check out Sundance next visit

I got whip lash checking out all the beautiful scenery in this area.

Cut the weekend short for a run to Las Vegas to visit my brother plus there are more loads in this area for a solo than Salt Lake.

Las Vegas has exploded since I was here a few years ago soon there will be no room in valley for anything.

Plan to head for hills and check out the area but not to far or I may miss that golden load.

Expediting is tough but somebody has to do it...lol
